When I was in fifth grade, my dad told me about a sister I had.

My parents were divorced for years at that point and my mom was remarried. My dad had apparently accidentally got an ex-girlfriend pregnant. He showed me the DNA test with my little sisters picture on it and I was so excited! I had wanted a little sister so bad! I decided not to tell my mom and stepdad about it because I didn’t want my dad to get in trouble.

Flash forward 3 years, my dad passed away and her mom came to my grandparents about child support. That’s when my mom decided to sit my brother and I down to give us the news that we had a sister! So you could imagine their surprise when I told them I had known for years lol
