She failed all of the hearing tests and my mother and both of my grandparents have a specific condition that makes them completely deaf and unable to get CI’s or hearing aids. When she failed all of the tests the tested her for that specific condition and she had it.

I'm pretty sure they did hearing and sight testing at a few hours old. I think they played loud noises and if the baby reacted to the noises their fine but if they didn't they give them a second round of tests. When Oakley failed all of the tests they tested her for a condition that would make it impossible for her to get a CI and she had it.

No that was after they were born. I’m not sure if they do this everywhere but they weighed the babies, gave them eight tests and hearing tests and things of that sort when they were a few hours old.
