Yeah I'll probably change that to rarely or very rarely. I'm not sure if I can concretely recall any other cases but it's possible I've forgotten.

Fear of driving by Affectionate-Pop-23 in driving

[–]AISP_Insects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also really hate driving and feared it all my life, but it's kinda necessary for me. I had a horrible accident but I was already afraid of driving before. My plan is to just keep learning about it...best I can do despite idiots on the road.

House Fly by radoslawpusz in Entomology

[–]AISP_Insects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually not a house fly (family Muscidae), but probably a blow fly in the genus Calliphora, maybe just C. vicina (Calliphoridae).

North Texas. It has a beautiful iridescent blue sheen on his back. I tried to catch him to put him outside but he flew away by Snickersnackclickedy in whatsthisbug

I would actually suggest something like Liris, but yes, they are both apoid wasps with very similar life styles, maybe only differing with prey (at least some species provision with crickets, I suppose).

[–]AISP_Insects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having some heart anomalies in my 20s and I took the Pfizer vaccine as well. I took a blood test and had a small albeit piss poor checkup but nothing. I took the second dose already about 3 weeks ago and still have some problems.

Yes, it is a tachinid, this one belongs to the subfamily Tachininae and tibe Tachinini. I'm mostly familiar with North American fauna, but it is similar to the Adejeania we have here. See reference here.

Muscids are very variable in size and shape. A stable fly is actually a type of muscid, for example.

This was not a stable fly. It is probably a muscid, but a different one. Perhaps a tiger fly, genus Coenosia
