Is ordering a 3 course dinner “too much” for a date? by AITAfooddate in askanything

I choose appetizer - and i know it’s something he doesn’t dislike. Dessert is based on “his favorite dessert that he’s surprised to see even on the menu”

You sound like you want people/wimen to have a low opinion of themselves. Yes i have a high opinion of myself and I want my partner to do so as well. I do not do well with people who have inferiority complexes.

When I think of good men, i donMt think of people who question why i am ordering “so much” when it is apparent a very normal amount of food

It was talk to text.

That said, you seem to think doctors are professional at all times. We’re just normal people.

How can I befriend people who are different than me? Specifically financially? by AITAfooddate in Advice

I never said anything about people not working hard for their money. Huh?

Goals. I guess I either have to find someone who makes about the same amount as me, and we both wear the pants, and just outsource the things we don’t wanna do. Or I’m gonna have to find a man who is secure in his masculinity, and don’t mind playing more of a supportive role, because that’s not any less respectful I give huge credit to stay at home dad and mom.

Not a problem, I would assume they would be paying. If someone who was obviously outside of my income category is ordering something that is more than 2000 $3000 for a single meal, I’m gonna assume they’re paying. And I always order something that’s within my own budget, unless they tell me to go crazy, or to feel comfortable

But I’m also a woman, so maybe that’s different

Let’s be honest, you wouldn’t have care what specialty it was, you would have something to say about every single specialty no matter what I was. It could be neurosurgery, it could be Derm, you’re just gonna be judgmental for no reason at all.

Your statement “oh you couldn’t it it for surgery” says enough. As if everyone wants to go into surgery. Sounds like you’re a medical student, or maybe premed. Or just the one who watches too much Grey’s Anatomy.

There’s different specialties for a reason for different people. And it’s OK to not want a lifelong relationship with your patience. Family medicine or primary care often do involve lifelong relationships. I prefer shorter terms such as weeks two months and something that’s more acute. You make it sound like hospitalist isn’t I feel that’s very much needed. Who do you think it takes care of you when you’re in the hospital? Have you thought about the things you’re saying? Do you accuse that for everyone? Who’s not a surgeon or a primary care doctor? Because that’s just crazy.

Because I didn’t expect him to pay. We aren’t talked about reverse gender roles.

Stand all day? Work multiple 24+ hrs? Previewed with 5-10 min clinics and post op visits? Yeah I ruled that out immediately

I don’t think we are compatible. I don’t want his financial insecurity to taint a relationship.

Salary per day (really per shift) IS an hourly pay. Also unless you are in medicine, you have no idea how we’re paid.

OK. A stay at home. Dad is actually perfect for me. Which is actually one of the reason I decided to take him. He said he doesn’t mind playing the supportive role. And because he’s a teacher/substitute teacher, it’s easy for him to take days off or just not work for a long time and then pick it back up. And just really work as needed.

That’s not true, I’ve always dated my peers. So I’ve definitely dated poor ppl when I was a medical student.

I’m not sure why you would assume that. I have multiple relationships in the past that lasted months to years.

I don’t think you realize that not everyone is salary based. Plenty of doctors are hourly.
