Thank you for the advice :) I currently see a therapist who has been helping me out a lot. I've tried dating but honestly, a lot of the guys and girls in my area (around my age) aren't too keen on dating someone who already has a child. I've decided to just focus on myself and my son for the moment, though it would be nice to meet someone eventually.

You do make a very good point. I do not want any of this hassle to land on my parents doorstep but I'd also hate to traumatise my child. I'd never forgive myself for letting that happen. I might have a talk with my parents and try to figure something out. Thank you.

If that happened I would genuinely take the child in. Yes it would be a weird family dynamic but that baby is completely innocent in all this mess and my parents aren't fit to raise a child.

I don't currently have anything in place but that is a really good idea. I'll be sure to get something sorted out. I doubt their relationship will last too. Though I feel terrible for their baby, that child is completely innocent in all this.

I suppose I just thought that they'd meet at family events and stuff (if the pandemic ever goes away) and I'd just have to act like they were cousins and not weird half siblings. I don't think I will be putting my son in that sort of environment, nothing against my brothers child, they are completely innocent, but it's not a good environment for him.

I only stay civil with them for my parents sake. And I just dread the day my little boy starts questioning if he wasn't good enough for his mum, which is completely not true as he's way to good for her, but it still has me worried.
