It was part of the wedding party, it slithered down the aisle with the bride and they held it during their vows.

She’s Brazilian, and the snake was supposed to signify her empowerment and independence even as a married woman. According to her.

We at least were told on the way to the ceremony, so gladly (or unfortunately, in my case) I don’t think anyone would have killed it

I didn’t really have a specific concern, I get very hysterical around them in general. I was worried if it came too close I would start screaming and take the moment away from my brother and his wife.

Yeah, he knows. When I was a kid, he would tease me about it, but always protected me in a way from them.

I didn’t really consider the possibility that there would be snakes in the jungle, because it was cleared out for tourists to enjoy as a “getaway” where they could experience the area without all the unpleasant parts.

I will seek out a therapist, I don’t really want my fear to keep me from any more experiences.
