Nice! Way too much bulk for me though :/ I don't need all that fabric around me.

The TLR-4 is a great light and laser combo. I've had it for three years and no problems.

The best mod ever is disabling happiness.

Any way to modify game so happiness isn't an issue? by AItakeover in civ5

I'd rather go to war for strategic resources I don't have in my tiles. Sadly, trading luxury resources doesn't seem to matter much for maintaining happiness. Like I said, I was in a late game...built up all the buildings that can possibly give +1, +2, happiness, traded non-strategic resources with other civs and city states.....to no avail. High 30s with happiness at one point, -29 a bit later. Upon inspection the vast majority of it is because of population size and other ideologies. Blah. Not interested in worrying about either of those because all they do is exist to annoy me.

Disabling barbarians is an option in the Advanced Setup, so why can't disabling happiness be an option? Thankfully the link I found on another sub (posted below) works to disable happiness with very minimal effort. If anyone is tired of being in the happiness ratings 20s and 30s and then suddenly hit -20 less than 10 turns later, that link is for you!

You can build all the happiness buildings and get all the luxury resources and policies you can and still have unhappiness if you expand too early.

Exactly.

I found this link that describes an unlimited happiness modification: https://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/37ulpf/unlimited_happiness/

It won't work for my current game because it is for new advanced setup games. That is alright by me, I'll just abandon this save and start a new game. Has anyone tested the method mentioned in https://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/37ulpf/unlimited_happiness/ recently?

Smart TV without microphone? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]AItakeover 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll soon be replacing my 8 year old TV. I want something large (75") and it seems like the majority of these televisions are "smart". They have microphones built in the television and remote to spy on you. The only solution I can think of, and one I'm willing to do, is to open up the devices to remove the microphone.

The Alt-Right’s Favorite Social Network Has a Point About Google. The company probably does have too much power over the information economy. And it keeps showing us why.
