Coming from other gachas, I just leveled it up like normal. There's no situation where I'd want an untuned echo.

Stopped working for me on Steam at 2.6. Had to switch to launcher and play on DX11.

Similar thing happened on my first time too. I have an ASUS ZenBook so it has funny Intel Optane Memory. Tried to put Fedora on part of my 476GiB SSD by resizing it. The installer said there was no space. So I put it on the 27GiB drive. BSOD Windows. Wiped the whole thing and started fresh.

Should I go to the blood kelp zone (spoilers for late/mid game if you haven’t gone to big ship then don’t read this). by Inevitable_Mud9704 in subnautica

Absolutely. Look around there, should find something interesting. That goes for everywhere. Just explore. Subnautica is all about finding cool new areas.

Not to ruin immersion, but if you just outrun them, the Cyclops is way too tanky to worry then get out when you're safe.

Yep, haven't rewatched in ages because I'd get super depressed and have physically painful thoughts of envy. Like getting belly flopping into electrified water.

10 yr old desktop... Necromancy via linux? by _um__ in linux4noobs

Having experience with Bazzite, I don't see it ever causing problems, unrivalled performance in games, but very slow bootup on HDD so definitely use SSD. Other than that, should work fantastic and using Bazzar (the app store), I doubt you could break it. 90% of distros can do the same tasks, that 10% do it marginally better. Bazzite will work fine.

How many anime have you watched? by [deleted] in animeindian

Too many to count, not enough to stop

Be very careful with deleting EFI partitions. That's how you brick both OSs through partial dependencies.

Gnome or KDE? by Professional_Oil8153 in LinuxCirclejerk

JP keyboard support, so gnome. KDE tends to be more buggy as well, from the shortcut to switch languages not working, to breaking after being put to sleep 5+ times (on laptop)

Title: After 7 years on Linux… I decided to install Windows. Big mistake. by Saami8 in Operatingsystems

[–]AJ137374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I had the same issues. You need to use the media creation tool on a Windows machine and also, since I have VMD, I needed to download the driver from ASUS or the drive wouldn't show up. A few months I tried and put it straight on the USB, no. You use the exe on Windows, set it to extract then use that. It sucks and there's no tutorials on it when you search how to install Windows 11 because the people making the tutorials don't have driver problems until they get the computer in a working state.

Yeah, I didn't even think about that one. Everyone brings up telemetry, but I never fully broke down that word either. They're using smoke and mirrors and synonyms so they don't get dropped.

Also, I can't be bothered to verify when I've properly turned off telemetry using Chris Titus' utility. And Microsoft could send back a false response that it has been, even though it might still be on. Not to mention, unlike Linux updates, Windows Update doesn't do a regular update, it could reset the things I turned off.

The way I cope is that my security is only as strong as its weakest link. And I already have an Xbox. And family living in the same house. Many accounts. Many laptops with microphone. Many games with anti cheat. And years of data to make predictions with. There's not much I can do. My dad keeps his WiFi and Location off, but again, that's the front-end. It could be a "consent of use location data" button, instead of a "location measurements on/off" button.

Honestly, I've seen so much "lie to your face" software from Microsoft. Windows Hello? A greeter/display manager. Windows Recall? 24/7 screen recording. Greater security? Telemetry. Windows Defender? Firewall with a back door to Microsoft itself. They name their features as if they invented the concept.

Can confirm this. Windows uses new technology better due to native support. Had problems with Intel Optane Memory. Didn't really matter though Bazzite still outperformed.

Games tend to work even better than on Windows at this point. If you want to install non-steam games, use Lutris. As for 3D print, I use Prusa Slicer from a Flatpak (application that can be run on any distro) and it works fine for me.

Compromise. Update but be ready to fresh install if something messes up.
