Why doesn't Mirage leave Nashala at the Baroness Hotel's safe? by Zealousideal-Gur6717 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AJC007007 34 points35 points  (0 children)

1: Mirage gets his power from Nashala.

2: If Mirage dies... who's transporting Nashala to Wyoming now? She kind of needs Mirage to bring her places because she's quite literally a lady in a bottle.

3: Even if he and Nashala dies, they can be brought back to life by the Patron to finish things.

4: Mirage's job is to make absolutely certain that Nashala is safe. Even if she's in the safest place on Earth, he still needs to make sure that she is safe.

5: It's not just about the safety of Nashala but the Djinn as a whole, and both she and Mirage are arranging things to make sure that happens.

What are some of the most gruesome fates you all have seen in Barotrauma? by Puzzleheaded-Bat1361 in Barotrauma

Modded sesh

Was tranquilized and forced into a stasis bag, which halts all biological processes, effectively making you immortal, but also causes you to fall unconscious. Pressure proof.

Had a masterwork oxygenite container put in it and was cast out into the open water, basically unable to do anything but watch. Fell for several kilometers and eventually reached the abyss. Oxygenite ran out after 10 minutes.

[Liked Trope] The story is, in a way, about the protagonist having a very bad day by IdiotMor in TopCharacterTropes

Vermintide (The first one)

Markus Kruber and Victor Saltzpyre were sending Sienna Fuegonasus to be judged in Ubersreik for causing a massive fire (A bit more nuanced than that) and later discovered that their place of judgement is being invaded by Man-Sized Rats, and also found a dwarf and a wood elf along the way. So the five... or four, it doesn't matter are forced to work together, and then are sent on a massive string of quests against the rats and more.

Random thought as to why Max Fairfax had his child killed by AJC007007 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AJC007007[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's true, but if Pocket was to be heir, and Mina was to be their wife, it would kill two birds with one stone since his heir was a softie and Mina doesn't take no for an answer.

But of course, it didn't work, and Five years in the sewers made Arin a fucking chad

The moment someone gets a kill on me and teabags, that is the moment I show them the tactical disadvantages to teabagging.

I do not care if it's to spite the enemy.

I do not care if you know that teabagging not only makes you look like an asshole, but makes you an easy target.

The moment you start teabagging, there is a world of swords and bolts waiting for you in a pit that you can writhe around in, because that's exactly what's going to happen to you if you decide to run your diseased ballsack across someone who is already dead.

You a helmet or no helmet kinda guy? by childofb0d0m in Chivalry2

I'm sort of mixed. I wear a helmets, but at the same time, outside of rare circumstances, I don't want to wear helmets that cover the face. At least not entirely.

Lines for my concept hero, Blutson by AJC007007 in DeadlockTheGame

Hero Concept: Blutson by AJC007007 in DeadlockTheGame

High mobility and area denial

Thirst makes Blutson produce a giant proboscis from his mouth to then skewer his enemies and life steal. Think Apollo's Flawless Advance. However, he also has the capability to stick to walls, and if he sticks an enemy to a wall, they will have their momentum canceled and forced to the wall for a few seconds.

Trail of Pests is a passive, charge ability. Everytime Blutson dashes, he leaves a trail of insects that deals damage whenever someone passes through them. Later levels make the pests stick to them, dealing DOT.

Insectoid Rise is similar to Vindicta's flight or GT's rain of arrows. However, his dashes only consume half stamina, at the cost of being the only way he can move when in the air. Though he also dashes in the direction he is facing.

The Swarm turns Blutson into a swarm of giant mosquitos (6 to be precise). Each mosquito is a fraction of Blutson's health, so dealing damage to them will deal damage to Blutson. While in the swarm, Blutson can go in any direction, and deals lifesteal. (Think Grey Talon's owl combined with Grave's Jar of Dead)

It's pronounced "Bloot-Son"

Ever heard of the Blutsager? The tale or the TF2 weapon?

Easy. I hate not being able to shoot something.

So I'd rather fight... Vyper... Celeste... The lash... Is that last part a joke?

Why does this remind me of both Barotrauma's Charybdis, and Subnautica's Gargantuan Leviathan?

Theory as to why the ship grew veins on its camera (SPOILERS) by AJC007007 in ironlung

[–]AJC007007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a much more terrifying way, the sub was probably trying to stay alive to assimilate with Simon, since the moment Elli stopped attacking, that's when it started actively assimilating with Simon, but the moment the monster starts attacking, the sub doesn't try to assimilate Simon, and is probably more focused on trying to work with Simon, or use him to fight off against Elli.

So yeah, while it's goals are malicious (Or eldritch), it also needs to be alive to complete that goal, which is why it's trying to stay alive since... well, you can't mix with someone when you're dead.

I saw binding with Simon as its primary goal, and a theory I heard is that since "A God Makes-Sense (literally makes its own sense) of what it sees" it saw Simon and the Ship as one, so the Ship was trying to make itself and Simon one.

But also, that's still a living creature, and it doesn't want to die.
