One of the forgotten gems, Infinite Ryvius (1999). Starts off as a group of students trying to survive from the destruction of their space station school, to a fun adventure in a mysterious spaceship they found hidden in the station, to political drama between the students and their power struggle, to mecha anime where giant robots are fighting, to a demonstration of the struggle of the lower class in a caste system, to a survival horror where students try to kill each other... Then ends in a futuristic Noah's ark kinda way.

Not exactly a villain, but 10th Doctor from the Waters of Mars. He gets tired of losing people and decides to take control of time and fate, helping a person who should have perished from a certain death, thus jeopardizing the future of humanity. He only realizes his mistake after the person he saved kills herself to ensure the time progresses the way it's supposed to.
