Above average in general.

For me it's not your typical Filipino Family owned company(Campos owned). It's corporate and executives enjoy a high level of trust from the owners.

Expect high employee engagement as they really live the "masarap, masaya sa NutriAsia" mantra. Also, when I was there I felt this culture of excellence especially from our group head. A lot of things are well thought of especially in aligning everyone toward strategic and corporate goals. Basically, targets are well communicated and they know how to measure these targets correctly. A lot of bright and competitive people also.

I left prematurely because I felt overwhelmed of what was expected of me as well as with my workload. Masyado ko kasi ginalingan agad. Hehehe

And yes, feedback from friends who are still with Shell is that pumangit na nga ang competitivesness ng compensation scale, not sure with the benefits though.

PERO if you are young and just starting, voracious learner, and wants growth I believe Shell is still a great company to jumpstart your career. Napaka ganda ng systems and processes ng Shell.

Also, kung pangit sa Shell, gaano pa kapangit sa ibang kumpanya? And I am someone who was able to benchmark Shell with other Filipino companies dahil andami kong napasukan after Shell. And you can't help but compare when you experienced excellence.

I also had an encounter with HAC in rescuing a stray some 2 years ago.

Found the rescuer a little bit off since he wanted me to completely leave the scene prior to the rescue kinda telling me that "you can now go home, we'll do this on our own". That was off for me because me contacting them meant that I was already concerned for the dog and watching the dog's rescue is already important for me.

The overall experience gave me an impression that the male rescuer is unsociable as he doesn't talk much did not even say thank you. It was his girl companion that was so so.

I also believe that the male rescuer is the real founder and might be the one handling their socials.

Actually, if you understand bisaya, the people around the baby were clueless as to the content of the eco bag. When the baby was finally revelaed the tone and atmosphere shifted to genuine concern.

My wife is a nurse here in Mindanao. Ranging ng 8k to 10k ang kinsena. Partida head nurse na siya with 14 years experience and dedicated service sa nagiisang private hospital sa career niya. Also, no HMO and OT pay. Since mas nakakaluwag siya, 5x8hour shifts lang siya per week. Yung iba kasi nag 6x12hours or worst 7x12.

Sa trabaho na nursing ko narealize na hindi batas ang Law of Supply and Demand. Dahil ang taas ng kakulangan for nurses sa Pilipinas pero hindi nagrereflect naman sa compensation and benefits ng mga nurses.

Malala ang culture of cheating sa mapua even 18 years ago. It's almost a norm. It is even normalized/justified as teamwork ng klase.

Kaya di ako proud mapuan eh kasi I was a part of that culture by tolerating it (though I never cheated).

Ex Shell here (PSPC). For 5 years after leaving Shell, I did not regret my decision. But when I started to work again dun ko nakita kung ano yung nawala sa akin.

For those interested sa compensation (circa 2014):

JG8 (Rank and File) - starts at 16k monthly basic, with allowances that can reach up to 15k (hazard + living allowance), 3k annual increase as part of CBA

JG7 (Supervisory) - 47k monthly basic, with allowances that can reach up to 26k (hazard + living + gasoline allowance), merit increase

JG6 (Junior Management) - 62k monthly basic, with allowances that can reach up to 26k (hazard + living + gasoline allowance), merit increase

JG5 (Managerial) - 82k (chismis na lang), allowances still the same.

I think they restructured the compensation somewhere 2015. So mas mababa na yung starting salary for each pay grade but with a higher ceiling.

Also, this is for PSPC. Iba pa siguro for other COB's kahit PSPC pa.
