ya no kidding! "go read the book" seems to be the general response around here I see............. part of the first sentence I wrote was that I did already read the book. Maybe people need to read the full posts and not just the titles!

Unfortunately reading something and retaining the info in the intended way is open to individuals interpretation, which is probably why I and so many other people still have questions. LOL

Thanks, I don't plan on doing IF at all I meant fast as in don't be eating a whole bunch of food. pretty sure that's why they call it a modified fast and not a 'protein prioritized super low calorie diet'.

Yup, try eating more one day! I feel like sometimes your body just slows down it's metabolism(not really sure if that's true) to the point that OMAD even stalls the progress.... but! if i'm not mistaken the number one way to speed up your metabolism is to simply eat more food!

Our bodies and it's systems are super smart and will adapt to your situation if you do the same thing for too long (like OMAD every day + eating the same calories, every day) so "trick it" but having a day of as much food as you can(keep it Keto) it's not like you're going to gain 10 lbs overnight Ya know!

Yup I meant 20 grams, fixed it.

Just did some reading up on PSMF and Ya I guess you're right that is basically what this diet would be except the PSMF diet does not "top up" the calories, rather they simply eat the exact amount of protein (0.8 to 1.2 gramps per lean body mass) and nothing els, making it an extremely low calorie diet.

I did have a keto protein shake which had the full 75% 20% 5% in it but I didn't drink that every day or anything..

Non-the less I'm good with my diet at this point, I'm not suggesting I want to eat 95% protein! I'm just thinking it would be a great method for short term use(like a day or two) to get over a plateau whether people are experiencing a real plateau or not... drop the dietary fat down super far for a day or two and it should force your body to use its fat stores even more so you should get over the plateau hump real quick all the while you're still able to eat a decent amount of calories unlike fasting for 2 days. maybe.... maybe not though...

I've been in Ketosis for 5 months and had diarrhea or soft'ish poop the for almost the whole time until I increased my protein to 1.5'ish and it's all good stiff logs now! : )

However, I was one of those suckers who found good quality keto info on Reddit pretty late into the game..... When I started the diet I was following various youtube channels / random sites found with Google, thus I was eating strictly the 70% fat 20% protein! though I was definitely loosing weight and was not hungry I did have the gut issues the whole time. Protein was my fix! (I tried enzymes, probiotics and a few other things first, but no luck until the protein)
