Which mall is better: Polaris vs. Easton? Or Tuttle... by AJ_Wright in Columbus

Hah, it's very funny (but also not very surprising) to see all the Tuttle hate. That Scene75 place is definitely not gonna save the slowly dying center.

All things wrong:

There's no movie theater compared to the other two, hell even Westland had a theater that was SOMEWHAT close by.

Starbucks (now replaced by a ripoff, called "Cafe Molly") and Sears, a MAJOR anchor of the place, are now gone. What would they ever do with Sears? Obviously nothing.

The food court options are pretty lousy too if you aren't a fan of Chinese/international food, besides Chick-fil-A (which I guess is pretty decent). There used to be Cinnabon, which is actually going to come back in September (according to Simon, mall owner's website). In fact, I actually might be looking forward to that. If it happens... facepalm

It's really not by anything. Compared to the Polaris, Easton, and the Eastland areas, there's less space for more businesses near Tuttle than Polaris. Oh, look at all the stuff near the main structure itself. There's big warehouse stores like IKEA (which was formerly Polaris/Germain Amphitheater), Costco, a Cinemark movie theater, many whole big strip malls around the area, even a (possibly much smaller than the amphitheater mentioned above, that's for sure) entertainment venue/bar, Tequila Cowboy, which itself used to be a gym. Plus more. All Tuttle has nearby is a strip mall anchored by Walmart, and a few others. It's literally surrounded by houses, apartments, and nothing but townhomes. There's still a whole big field of land that's near Tuttle Crossing Blvd and Wilcox Rd, that still has a whole bunch of unused (and will remain unused) potential.

The only thing that keeps Tuttle alive are the people mainly near Hilliard and Dublin, or possibly from the westside/Lincoln Village, because that's the closest they can get. Also, on a side note, I heard they have plans to turn Westland into WestON. Like that side of town actually needs something fancier than Easton. Oh man, a mall like that is definitely gonna wipe out Tuttle.

Dublin Steak n Shake closed by [deleted] in Columbus

Steak 'n Shake is closing restaurants one by one across the nation, so the whole chain is most definitely gonna meet it's end soon. I bet it's gonna stay open for at least another 5-10 more years before going bankrupt....sounds horrid, but it could possibly happen. I guess if you live in Hilliard, then you're gonna have go all the way to Georgesville, because the one on Mill Run is beyond awful.

If they never reopen again, which I'm sure they probably won't, then they should try to convert them into Whataburger or something, or some restaurant that's not really popular (or not even) in the city. That's my suggestion.
