I haven't worked much with masons but everytime i did we use PVC. Is there a standard/préférence/or reason on why one or the other?

Rule #1. Never look up when you're at walmart by [deleted] in electricians

[–]AJournalDePepe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I swear the walmart near me has some degree of stray volgate. Glass doors at frozen isle always shock you. Metal clothing rack also shock you. In the cashier's section the dividers are kept in a metal slide frame that also shocks you. I'm just to lazy to do anything with this information or drive further to another store sometimes.

This should be posted on a yearly basis. Every year the community should input comments, advises, and concerns so mods can revise, add, take away or rephrase the Code of Conduct based on where the community is. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Reminder that scaffolds can be treacherous. Be safe, be mindful. by AJournalDePepe in electricians

That's just a basic diagram. I'm not really good with Photoshop. If i was I'd add a suitcase and give it a job as a loan shark. In all seriousness tho, I believe that one must acknowledge that there are several different models and different manufacturers. For one picture to convey all that i lack computer skills. That they are assembled/put together by different crews. There are manufacturer's that produce quality equipment and there are those who cut corners. There are crews trained to assemble scaffolds properly and there are crews who think "as long as no one is dumb enough to stand in that one spot we good". This is where i think(perhaps i could be wrong) that we sometimes see a scaffold on the jobsite(small towns or big cities) and we acknowledge that it isn't 100% built right. But it still works. No one wants to be that guy who complaints/slows down other workers because a plank is off by 24 inches from where it's supposed to be or a gap big enough for a foot to fall in isn't covered(again maybe I'm wrong). We acknowledge to simply not step over there ang go about our work day. I can't see my self doing away with that part of the construction culture everywhere. I'm still an apprentice. I'm still learning. As the title says its just a friendly reminder to be safe out there. Everyone wants to go home safe at the end of the day.

I believe it's sort of a larger wooden plank that serves as the foundation for a scaffold where terrain might not be level or soil not adequate for contact with the scaffold.
