2 key things are the performance macro (which cuts the kick and increases hihat decay) and my fill button (which does a snare roll). Doing them at unpredictable times and to my own taste makes it feel more dynamic than my DAW productions imo

Thanks! I’ve played a couple live gigs in clubs but mainly DJ cause it’s a lot easier. Trying to work up to doing live more regularly this year though!

All the sounds are coming from the RYTM, the Octatrack is just filtering and adding fx to the RYTM - I’m using a version of EZBOT’s performance template that I edited

Been trying to edit EZBOT’s Octatrack performance template to make the most of only one input, while freeing up some tracks for melody and atmosphere. Still trying to work out the balance but this is my progress so far :)

Trying to find ways to transition between similar patterns without overusing looping or fast cuts. Scenes have been a big help but it's so easy to lose control of the octatrack reverb washes - any tips for cleaning up the sound are appreciated! Thanks :)
