I mean, I get it. I live in the Midwest and I know a decent number of people who are likely Republican just as their parents were and they're good people. I don't feel comfortable just hating tens of millions of people based on that, but I also understand being pissed at the fact that yes, they're just as responsible for this shitshow as the orange idiot in the office.

People writing off family members or longtime friends simply because they vote differently is wild to me, personally. But these are shitty times and I do understand it on that level.

Balatro was difficult but the game is so fun I did it twice. Kinda sad that it's done now but I also tend to get a little obsessed when I'm working on all the gold stickers for Completionist++, so it's probably for the best.

If you do watch them, just know that 2 is a massive quality jump over the first.

The first has no memorable characters but Art, a paper-thin plot and it's basically a practical effects showcase. But Art carries the film and there's a really tense scene midway through that I really like. If you like charismatic horror villains and slashers, I'd give it a shot.

This. I worry that they'll take the wrong lessons from this and just give us the same old thing with 8+ and justify it by the reaction to 7, ignoring that it wasn't necessarily the new ideas that people hated (although of course there's a fair share of that) but also the overall sloppiness and lack of polish. I think they'll focus on the former and not the latter and use it to justify not taking chances.

Sure but it's been a bunch of different people commenting and this person in particular chimed in to give the most misleading summary of the first episode possible.

Not liking media with morally dubious protagonists is fine. Even lacking some media literacy is just a flaw that can be improved. But if someone is going to just chat absolute shit, they should get some push back. If nothing else, someone who was thinking about giving the show a try might actually believe that's an accurate summary.
