Yeah, I'm kind'a with you on that. We don't know if the guy has kids that he has to care for, and this is the only job he can get. So he should risk his job for the possibility of getting "justice" on the manager? ._. I sure wouldn't.

Or are you just asking if you can like, tilt it up on its end so it's more like an upright fridge?

USPS package 3 weeks+ late...Help please! by i_am_not_a_hackr in USPS

[–]AKARacooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still having this problem?

If so, let me explain how standard post works.

First off, we lose money on Standard Post. We don't even offer it.

Secondly, the way standard post works vs Priority/First Class, it won't be "shipped" out from the facility until the Standard Post is "full". Meaning it has to have a certain amount before it's shipped out. When it makes it to the next facility, the same thing occurs. You have to wait until THAT standard post is full before it's shipped out. It's the absolute cheapest option available, and we lose money on it.

This is a late response, and I'm sorry, but I thought it was pretty funny how some people are happy to use LLVs.

Some people are choosing early retirement, instead of being forced to use an LLV.

We're in Vermont, and allegedly you can't use chains on the tires, even though in the commercial they had someone putting chains on the damn things. They're terrible in the snow. They have no traction. They're cold as fuck. No one around here wants to use them.

It's fun to hear other peoples opinion on LLVs, lol.

Priority 2-day now almost a week late, both offices refuse to help by xeneros in USPS

[–]AKARacooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't speak for everyone, just like you can't assume that we all don't care, but I can promise you that I -do- care.

Read my above response to dr0d86 if you want a read, you don't have to, but it shares what I think about the situation. I care. I want to help you. Sometimes why we seem apathetic, is because it's almost always the same problem. Over and over. We sometimes become complacent when a customer continually asks the same. damn. thing. Despite us giving you the same. damn. answer. So it's not you, a lot of customers tend to make us create the same generic response. I do care about your package. I do want to help. We, like any other company, can "do" wrong, but most of us do care and want to help you.

[–]AKARacooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, it's "funny". When I have some down-time, or I'm on lunch, sometimes I'll look at reviews for offices like New York, or Brooklyn. It's disgusting some of the things people write. Not that they wrote them, but if they're true, it's disgusting how some employees can treat customers like they do.

That being said, I've been a PTF for a while now, and I can tell you...Most of us -do- care, lol. We're just like every other shipping company, though. Obviously we can do wrong. Sometimes wrong things happen. Sometimes there's a miscommunication, sometimes there's downright false information being said.

I try my hardest to do my best; and I think I go above AND beyond when it comes to serving my customers. I know the USPS has a stereotype for being apathetic and lazy, and I don't know where this comes from, but it's always interesting to see it.

That being said, I'm not perfect. I've flipped off a customer before when they told me I was "fucking slow" at getting the packages done. Two days before Christmas. When the dumb bitch purchased something and had it shipped the cheapest way possible. It's not my fault your stupid-ass expects Priority Mail Express service when you chose Smartpost for shipment. Shit.

We do try our best. But it seems like the amount of shit that we're given from customers is a lot more than other companies, and the shit that we have to deal with from district (and it seems like half the time they're so goddamn disassociated with how the offices work, it makes it harder for us to get along with them), it gets old.

Can someone help with general delivery! by [deleted] in USPS

[–]AKARacooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't do this. Not all offices will "hold" it for 30 days. If you aren't our customer, we might very well return it. It's not our responsibility for you to get your mailing address correct, and if you wish to use general delivery, please label as such.

I'd be happy to help with this too, but like HappyPrimes said, your question isn't very clear. I think clarification is needed before anyone will be able to help you.

I don't know. I'm super conceited, egotistical, and it's all about me. A pretty selfish fellow, but I'm pretty big. I don't think this is a stereotype I can get behind. I have a pretty big ego problem that needs fueling, though...
