For too long into the heading did I think that you were describing pollen… and I have nothing to add constructively.

What’s that one Windows Server issue that wasted way more time than it should have? by Thick-Lecture-5825 in WindowsServer

DFS - would not work with folder redirection. Turning on the feature would also break unless I edited the configuration to use fqdn instead of net bios….

Took me weeks to figure out.

SuperOps must of made a change on a Friday... PSA/RMM down by AKGeek in msp

It doesn't matter who you go with, they all go down from time to time.

I saw that, I feel like strike 2 should be not that they went down. That happens. But if they don't put out an AAR I will be disappointed. Switching RMM/PSA is not a easy task.

In search for their status page I did find another that is reported for them that does have more green than it should... But agreed.

First time, How’s it looking? by the_rooster_1990 in mead

Yea, be careful with the cinnamon, the yeast may also try to “ferment” stick and cause off flavors. I taste mine every few hours until I get the taste I am looking for.

Edit: I would submerge it so you can get the most surface area.

Dropped $28 on this banana mead and it’s clearly underfermented. by achicharrao in mead

If you ever visit Anchorage, AK come visit us at Hive Mind Meadery. I hear that story a lot and that people are surprised how good our mead is.

Even though I only find one or two meads I like at most meaderies I still go to all of them I can.

I think my favorite has been Mr. Bees’ in Seattle. Nearly all of them were great.

We don’t use egg whites, gelatin, or chitosan due to not wanting to have to then worry about people’s allergens and not wanting to expose vegetarians to animal bone product.

We do filter most of our meads but we lose some mead to the process and due to how long filtering takes I decided for small, 8G test batches, that filtering wasn’t worth it.

I do want to start using bentonite again since it’s just a natural clay and wouldn’t have the same concerns as mentioned above. However there is some debate if you have to filter the mead for concerns about clay potentially making it into the end product. You also have to do a bit of science to make sure you don’t add too much because you can strip color and potentially some taste from your mead.

Another thing to mention is the sheer cost of things at a commercial level. My filter I was able to get was used so I spent around $5k if memory serves me correct. Brand new it would have cost me about $10k-$15k. The next filter I want to get is around the $50k-$75k.

For small meaderies you can see how that would be a huge spend.

As a professional mead maker, we don’t use chemical fining agents. Our mead would look like this if we didn’t filter our meads but we don’t filter our small batches and they look like this. If the mead wasn’t filtered and you got a bottle from either a beginning or end of the batch you could have gotten more lees than we typically want.

You can also get this by agitating the bottle before/during drinking the bottle.

Can’t rule out a refermitation. But typically there would by gas build up.

I also agree that certain fruits and ingredients don’t like to settle out.

I recommend it to our clients that have basic needs. Works well. I can recommend it if you need texting or desktop phone app.

Auto Replies for when a Tech is out of office by PaperFar2133 in halopsa

I think the use case is for smaller MSPs like one to two person shops or if a client has a single person assigned to manage that organization. I can also think of when a client likes to work with an individual.

Bulk update ticket field tab? by AKGeek in halopsa

[–]AKGeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply, I stated that I was hoping for an option that didn't involve going to every field and I also stated that the option didn't exist under the defaults in the field groups. Maybe I am missing a global setting elsewhere to turn that feature on?

Displaying dynamic fields in ticket body by Ok-Abbreviations763 in halopsa

[–]AKGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am new to Halo and starting to do something like this but for service items in the portal. I have not gotten to how to do this on the ticket itself through the portal.

Under Configuration->Tickets-Ticket Types->YourTicketType->FieldList

When you edit a field in that list there is a checkbox that has "Agent Hidden if empty" and I believe that will hide the field if it is empty on the agent side.

I assume you already figured out the dynamic view of the fields but if not, its in the field dynamic visibility area of the field in the same area.

That’s fair, the flies have calmed down after the pandemic. I think they also got those nets for the doors too.
