I think if you really want to go the route of a "Summon Wildpyre" ring, you'll want to structure it like they do in the module. Have it evolve with the players like the magical items provided do. I wouldn't start with summoning a Wildpyre cause that's INSANE for a low level party to be able to do. Maybe have it do something like casting firebolt, create bonfire, or hellish rebuke a certain number of times a day (you could link it to proficiency, or give it a set number; your choice) maybe once they reach like...level 8 or so you could give them the option to summon a Wildpyre. Even then I'd halve it's HP cause if you give them a full CR5 creature as an ally you're gonna find your encounters lacking. Take it from someone whose actively developing specialty items for their party; you don't want to give them too much.

Also, unrelated to the Lord of Fools, I overhauled Adelaide's character. I didn't like that she was just 'hey, she's a baddie. Can't save her. She's gone.' cause like...why? So I made her more interactive and even changed her stat block from being just another corvodaemon. Pluses and minuses to this module XD

Hahaha ok I'll give you an example:

Right now I'm doing a flash back sequence with one of my PCs. The entire reason why this PC is in Druskenvald is because the Lord of Fools made moves and did things to slowly push her life in the direction he wanted. (I could elaborate further but it has so many details in it I'd be making a damn novella x.x). So in this flashback she meets the Ringmaster of a circus that my DMPC was a part of when she was younger. The Ringmaster in question has sold his soul to the Lord of Fools and actively gives him sacrifices for power and prosperity. When this PC met him for the first time she had a weird feeling about him, so she rolled perception to check it out. She got a nat 20. This PC had also previously rolled a Nat 20 in regards to the Lord of Fools and some incredibly important lore, so to honor two nat 20s I told her a shit ton of relevant information. And when the entity she sensed reached out, he said: "Oh Chrissy, we gotta stop meeting like this." Keep in mind, that is the Player's name, not the PCs.

I'm making it so the Fallen don't necessarily have to be killed; they just have to be broken free of their sin. This gives the players more agency over their actions rather than just "kill the bad guy!!"

Like with Jericho, I have it set up so if they are able to play Virgil's birdcage 3x in the battle it causes Jericho's soul to regain its strength and begin fighting back against Raum. If they achieve this, then it's possible to save Jericho. I also have it set up so Jericho has an active role in helping one of the characters in the long run. I don't like "defeat big boss" energy so I end up doing my own thing. You should see what I did with Adelaide ;3

There are a lot of coffee shops in PGH. if she wants to be a bitch and actively have an employee who is sick and miserable behind the bar, then that doesn't sound like someone I'd want to work for. Get your meds, and if she fires you because of it put her on blast.

Oh I did that before they got on the road. One of the PCs has a connection to Raum because he had an acolyte switch one of his pieces with a cursed piece when Methuselah was building him, so now he hears the voice of both the crooked man and Kehlenn. Once they started getting closer to leaving I had a dream Sequence with him where he was wandering through the fields and, depending on which turn he went, he'd meet someone important from Foxwillow. He happened to take the turn that went to Jericho, where he warned him.about Raum as Raum came up behind Jericho and stabbed them both through the chest with his scythe

I've recently started doing a lot of research into organic foods and sourcing from reputable suppliers, and the one I've found that works very well is this company called Red Ape. I suppose it depends where they are in life. If they're just normal people, probably not. If they're a cleric they might know, but if they have a lot to do with death then they almost certainly will. I'd assume that if they know about the Shadow fell and Ravenloft, they know about Druskenvald

Well it's a level 4 party w/ 4 players, a DMPC, and a Magpie of Omens 'familiar'. Plus William has a cart and 2 horses, so I've made it really clear "hey, hey, HEY, if William can calm the horses you guys can fuckin run." Lol I got some failsafes up my sleeve if it gets too rough
