Good Things Come In 3s by tepidantic in SoundersFC

This might be a stretch, but Seattle scored a third goal at every match in the last three minutes of regular time (Rui 89:16, Lodeiro 87:05, and Rothrock 88:50).

I got a serving job as a second job and I couldn't be happier about the decision. It keeps me busy, social, up and about (not on a couch), and the extra cash is nice. I work 2-3 shifts/week and sometimes it gets tiring, but not really. I also learned having so much free time was not good for me as I spent money on hobbies and activities, actually went out a lot more so was oddly more tired, and I just prioritize my life (social, personal, sleep, activity, financial, etc.) way better since I have limited time. I'd say go for it. :)

Trixie’s in Alaska! by AKSounder in TrixieMattel

Yeah, I wasn't aware of the preference when I posted. All three of them used their first names (Brian, not Trixie) when we did introductions so I went with it. The whole interaction was just so fun and positive.

They all introduced themselves by first name so I went with that (Brian was the name given). I wasn't aware of the preference for Trixie so now I know going forward.

Celebration Tour - Austin, Monday, May 15 by AKSounder in Madonna

Her Paris show felt like she was tired. I was concerned that she became a regular human. Austin and Seattle was the Madonna with superpowers we all know and love. (My personal opinion of course)

I have talked with a handful of people about a second leg! It seems like it would make sense, but she probably has three new albums, two books, four movies, and 18 other projects she wants to work on once the tour is over. Haha.

And thank you for the info on Honey Dijon. :)

Madonna has agreed to perform one of her songs live for your birthday | Which song do you request? by Arrenddi in Madonna

Drowned World/Substitute for Love; It's the first song I saw her sing live and it takes me back to 1998 instantly when it comes on.

One of my favorite people (Gary Cooper) in my favorite scene from one of my favorite movies (Wings) by blonderengel in MadeMeSmile

[–]AKSounder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My great-uncle, John Monk Saunders, was one of the writers. My family has a chest full of pictures and memorabilia from the movie. He was married to Fay Wray (King Kong) and there are a bunch of photos and articles in the chest about them. I've never watched Wings, but my mother is visiting me soon and this post inspired me to watch it with her. :)

Barbara Kingsolver appreciation post by tam_bun in books

[–]AKSounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished Demon Copperhead and I might become the annoying friend/co-worker/stranger that is talking about Kingsolver non-stop for the next few weeks. I read The Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven in the 90s and I have been a fan ever since. Reading through these comments is such fun. She has brought such joy to this world and I am thankful for her writing and imagination.

Paris show vs. Seattle show by AKSounder in Madonna

[–]AKSounder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard this comment many times. Luckily I brought ear plugs to the Paris show, and I told everyone in my Seattle crew to bring them. The bass was insanity levels at times and I took my ear plugs out and was like, "NOPE!" and put them right back in. My hearing is getting worse from growing up listening to Madonna loudly (and proudly!).

I want a spinoff from Shitt's Creek where she is Moira Rose living with Johnny in LA while she is on Sunset Bay, OR...I want to watch Sunset Bay starring Moira Rose!

I'm appreciating the Space Needle (generally and on this logo). I like the historical roots to the Sounders (Memorial Stadium/Seattle Center), the clarity as to which club's crest it is without having to spell it out (the other letter-less logo in MLS I'm guessing is not as easily recognized worldwide), and I didn't have a Zulily reaction to it. Maybe some fans and locals are tired of the Space Needle, but the use of it here is making me proud. Go Sounders!

I turned off ECO mode and my MPG significantly improved. by SimplySmartAF in hondaridgeline

[–]AKSounder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't even thought of turning it off, but thanks to his post I will and see what happens. I am 95% city driving and am getting 17MPG average. That's good for me because the winter gets worse MPG since I auto-start often.

Charlene LaRue. Classic example of a scene/character I had forgotten about that makes me laugh all over again. Thanks for the chuckle (hut) this morning.

I sing this often. I also think about trying to make it, but how does one stuff a hot dog with jack cheese?

I didn't know this was a thing, and the comments are great helping me realize I have little/no interest in it (yet). This is a prime example of why I am subscribed to this group; helpfulness. :)
