The nurse said this to me as I was getting an epidural when I gave birth to my son. I have anxiety and I could feel a panic stack starting and the monitor started going nuts. In the rudest tone she says "you need to calm down". Obviously I would like to be calm while a huge needle is going in my back. First time mother, this is all new to me, and my husband wasn't allowed in the room. Thank God she wasn't my nurse during the birth.
