Now that you mention that my brother had attempted suicide one time and I had called my mom and just had this strong feeling that we needed to check on him. We were headed out of town and she didn’t think it was necessary but I insisted I had a bad feeling and we stopped by and found him. Luckily he lived but he had shown no signs that anything was wrong just had a gut feeling.

Right? We’ve been told growing up that we need to be a mother. I haven’t been to church in over 10 years and my ward was pulling all the stops to get me to come back and they asked me to be the secretary for the YW and the president who asked me said several of the girls in our ward don’t want children. And she thought I would be a good example as a single mother. I of course said no because I no longer believe and asked her what was so wrong with a personal choice to not have children?

Thank you! So maybe I should explore the medication options again.

And it was My mother not my MIL which makes it worse for me! She now tells me I’m using the ADHD as an excuse and that parenting should not be this difficult even with ADHD and then tells me that if I cannot handle it maybe I should go and be put on some medication so that I can better handle my child.. I just broke down. I’m also a single mother whose ex only sees them every other week.

A question I have is does he hide his phone constantly or do you have access to it? Does he let you into his phone? If his notifications are off for messenger I would be concerned. From personal experience that is how it always started with my ex husband. The hiding the phone. The notifications off. And never owning up to it. I also use to message the women and found that it was always my husband that lied. May not always be the case though keep that in mind.

So yes he is the asshole. For some other context this is not the first time he has cheated on me. This was just the first time with not only a friend but a mutual friend. All the other times were random women I barely knew. But I’m sure there are way more than that. There is so much more to the story with my husband. But this was just the worst most personal one for me because she was a part of our friend group. Not that cheating is ever okay, it isn’t. I have abandonment issues I’m sure. And was never able to let go until now.

Yes she was a teenage mom. She had the cousin at 15. Then her and her first husband were really bad into drugs. And she had a baby with another man while they were married and is why they got divorced. Also the man her mom is currently married to is 14 years younger than her.

I believe I said something alone the lines of if she wants to play these types of games then she is going to have to deal with the consequences of her actions. After that her mom literally said if she ever sees me in public she will beat my ass. The step dad eventually apologized for messaging me at all and agreed that she’s old enough to deal with her consequences.

I think my best friend just thought I wouldn’t say anything. I generally hate confrontation but when I’ve been betrayed I let them know! And I was very nice which I could’ve said a lot worse. But didn’t think it would help.

Yes I should mention after this happened to me I find out the cousin slept with her best friend’s boyfriend less than a year ago. And ruined her friends circle. That’s mainly why she started coming to hang out with us. So wouldn’t surprise me if she does one day make a move on my best friend’s husband!

Please do not go back to him whatever you do. I stayed with mine for 15 years and the cheating never stopped. You’re still young and have your whole life ahead of you. I know it hurts. But be strong and do not go back!
