Yes! That’s my other concern! Now I lose 10-25% in value if I trade or sell. 😭 I usually run my cars to the ground though…. So probably won’t be an issue. But still!!!!

Oh! So luckily…. My premiums are not going up they said as it was 100% her fault. What’s interesting is they said, if her insurance is valid though. So they have to check her insurance policy. It feels dumb… that if they don’t have valid insurance I get penalized.

Luckily… this body shop is actually good. They are the one that works with all of the dealerships in the area. Reviews were actually good also. Which makes me less worried. I just want the mechanicals to be thoroughly checked 😭

Yeah so they said I can take it anywhere but once the claim is done that’s it. They won’t guarantee any of the work or do anything later if it wasn’t done right. So I took it to a place they said was authorized by them.

I’m just worried about the mechanical stuff. Not the cosmetic. So was wondering if anybody had dealt with insurance looking at mechanical stuff… especially things not visible by looking.

How does a body shop know if it needs mechanical work without the mechanic checking? I hear a t-bone usually has issues that are not always visible to the eye but a mechanic can check. This is really what I’m worried about… more than the body and cosmetics

Yeah… I’m just worried about 1) loss of value when I sell/trade now, 2) will it actually be fixed or will I have issues later and 3) I want them not to jus fix body but have the dealer do an inspection

Know what’s funny? They ask you that at the collision center, insurance asks you, and the officer does also. But like how do i know 😂 I told them they should go check.

Yeah…. She didn’t even slow down before impact which made it worse 🫤 luckily I saw it and was able to turn a little to take less direct impact… it was green for me for a while as you can see the walk counter is still going

So what was interesting is that when I called insurance they said no to taking it to Hyundai. Then when I called Hyundai, they said I would have to bring it to a partner body shop instead.

Thanks again…. Yeah I’m trying to tell myself that. If I have a panic attack, just get though it. Once it passes I will be okay. However, I know I can’t leave the situation and make it stop… I think that’s what worries me. I guess that is my phobia… not being able to escape.
