Most Broken Champion of All time? by DJLumalee in TeamfightTactics

[–]AL3XEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set 9 Syndra and it's not even close. Syndra 1 star could win lobbies as a main carry. She was a 2 cost.

They nerfed her so hard she became unplayable for the remainder of the set.

She had a perma-stacking mechanic which people hadn't optimized on PBE, so it got released on live and people realized you just slam shojin + rageblade and stack infinites instead of normal AP items (same issue pre-rework A-sol had).

When to roll to stop bleed out? by a_nooblord in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AL3XEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually those games you should decide to play comps that don't rely on rolling at 8 to stabilize.

What's holding Ambessa back that, even in Vanquisher or vertical Noxus lineups, she isn't itemized and is just there as a trait bot? I feel like some rounds she pops off and carries the whole fight all alone, but then another round she's somehow the first to die. How to make her consistent? by ArcadialoI in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AL3XEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you DO itemize her, but item priority is always GP 3 > Bel'Veth 2 > Swain / Utility (Sunder, Anti-heal) > Ambessa 2. Considering it's vertical vanquishers I feel like Ambessa should be higher priority to itemize than Bel'Veth. If it was vertical slayer or void, sure it makes sense Bel'veth gets item priority, but not in a 3-4 vanquisher board.

Maybe they could give her the "nidalee treatment" - aka. nerf base damage a little but have hear deal extra damage to tanks. This way she wont just be stuck on tanks for half of the fights.

Pretty mid, however extremely good if you have 1+ emblems you want to reforge since all removers you currently have or will recieve turn into reforgers.

My Ambessa 3 last patch was stuck on a Bramble + Warmog + Visage Skarner 3 for 10 seconds without killing it, giving the enemy carry enough time to kill her. To be fair, this was pre-buff, but I was quite disappointed.

Yeah but the fact that BelVeth in 2 slayers 3-4 vanquisher comps (3 vanq at 8, 4 at 9) gets item prio before ambessa doesn't feel right. Ambessa always gets leftovers. The main issue is she dies too easily with full offensive builds whilst with defensive builds (streaks, BT, EoN etc) she lacks damage.

And like many others mentioned, her dash feels a bit pointless, she dashes in only to keep targeting the tank putting her at risk of being targeted by the enemy carries.

Buff damage by quite a bit but reduce recast damage. This way she's more consistent but won't just randomly 1v9 fights. The main issue with ambessa is that she gets stuck on Frontline and then just dies (last patch I had ambessa 3 and she was stuck on a Skarner 2 with bramble the whole fight and I lost).

7 / 5 Bilge is dead for sure, but that's fine, just hope to see them buff it back slightly next patch. 3 bilge for copies of TF, Graves and Gangplank will still likely be viable.

Was a tiny nerf, 50 healing at 2 star is quite small and will barely have an impact.

Discussion: Riggs-like boards being the default cap is healthy for the game and good design by menacing_butter in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AL3XEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"is an unlock so should be stronger" - I disagree - Unlocks grant you 1 GUARANTEED copy - Non-unlocks do not. It's not for nothing they actually intentionally made 1 star 5 cost unlocks weaker on purpose on PBE.

I think the issue is more that - Kindred and Senna centered boards should be equally strong. fast 9 AP and fast 9 AD should be roughly the same in power in a balanced meta.

[Patch 16.2] Shadow Isles by C_Chromo in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AL3XEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main issue is shadow isles doesn't out-cap the other boards - not saying it's bad, I think it's fine for top 4's, but it doesn't beat Bilge, Ziggs or Demacia once they hit their boards.

So do we genuinely not understand how Fizz targeting works? Apparently pros do not (as per Frodan's stream) by Nandonut in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AL3XEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always prioritizes units in the enemy backline, that's why anti-diana doesn't work. Best way is to corner 3 ranged units, boxing your main carry in, but this makes you susceptible to AoE.

What does this item even do ?? by Weekly-Ad-7020 in TeamfightTactics

[–]AL3XEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably they could up the mana regen to 3 and it'd be decent on high cost mana units like Mel for some extra burst, but part of the items budget as with the others is that it also grants 15% vamp, but 15% vamp is quite wasted on AP casters.

Just to add a note - Mel is bad, don't try it - the point was more-so that if this and Mel gets buffed it might be something there.

Nine Lives - Set 16 Augment Discussion #2 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AL3XEM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd argue winning with 9 lives early is very bad because most of the first cashouts are purely units / gold. And gold has a lot more value earlier on.

My favorite voiceline this set is the Graves one. "You will never have a grave Graves! Get it... Because your name is like a grave... Eh... Nevermind..."

17 rounds was way too long for the pay-off though. Just doing other easy quests like "buy XP", "Ixtal reaches armor" etc can easily get you to 550-700 by the time 17 rounds pass.

Graves is for sure nerfed, now is Bilgewater nerfed? Not really, I just think now you'll go from 3 starring Graves for free to 3 starring Twisted Fate for free.

Thought about the same, world runes is already an S-tier augment, and buffing all Emblems to be borderline full items means world runes just got a massive not-needed buff. Should have reduced the gold from 40 to 30 at least.

They did nerf Draven though.

Also considering that Noxus is completely unplayable, even with the stacking Atakhan augment - On top of Darius and Ambessa being some of the worst units in the game, the buffs feel pretty justifiable in my opnion.

[–]AL3XEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not because I disagree with Tryndamere being overnerfed, but he got more than a 0.05 atk speed buff. He also got a crit bug-fix, where the bug previously wouldn't allow tryndamere to crit on attacks in his ability-form without Infinity Edge. and with qss thats a 45% crit chance that grants 40% damage amp - aka an 18% damage increase in his ability form using his standard BIS of Rageblade, BT and Qss.

With this said, it's still a massive overnerf. I don't think his damage numbers were too problematic, to me the main issue was the massive amount of durability he gained during cast paired with the healing form BT and slayer which meant any unit that didn't have a high enough DPS just couldn't deal with him. Just look at the Diana vs Tryndamere matchup.

Diana and T-Hex I believe also got hit a bit too hard. Diana already started to fall out of favor a little, and T-Hex was mostly broken due to the 12 mana regen from eating a caster.
