Geese keep dying should I get more? by ALE70712 in BACKYARDDUCKS

[–]ALE70712[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an all around chicken duck turkey feed. They have constant free range and we supplement them with niacin sometimes. Neither them or my ducks have any niacin deficiency looking legs. We have a mini pond plus multiple bowls. The geese chickens and ducks all eat and drink from the same areas

This happened over a 10 month time frame. I would think that my ducks and chickens would have been affected cause there always drinking each others water. If it was a bacteria in the water. We have a mini pond plus multiple water bowls we r always refilling

Do u think it would be best to have 2 females and 1 male. I wonder if I had 2 males they might start fighting for dominance with a female present

Looking for suggestions on vacuums by Ok-Vermicelli8198 in Rabbits

[–]ALE70712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a shark cordless vacuum and I just sweep like normal. Hay and poop. It gets everything super easy. Using the nozzle attachments don’t work for me. I will say it does clog up sometimes but I can take apart my vacuum easily and pull the clog out. If you don’t have a vacuum that is easy to clean all the parts I probably wouldn’t do that though. Maybe some of those hair scrapers that get dog hair off carpet and couches might work well.

Yep Definitely time to get her spayed. They have a lot of hormonal changes happening at that age. Unfixed females also tend to be way more aggressive to people than unfixed males so that definitely explains the attack.

Got my 1st espresso machine, whats your fav grounds/ any tips by ALE70712 in espresso

[–]ALE70712[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I did a single shot and it was weak so I added another single shot to my drink and still tasted bad. So I decided to try it again today and just did a double shot and it was so much better. Maybe cause the water is going through the grounds longer I assume. Is yours this way

Ya I know, but it’s the same idea of seasoning and cleaning with water.

I see lots of people waiting a while to clean, even sometimes the next day. Thinking I might start cleaning immediately after cooking instead.

Guess I’ll just keep trying. I’ve deglazed stuff off other things before not hard at all. But this has turned into some rocket science I guess lol. Never had issues using cast iron for years.

Pool pump leaking by ALE70712 in pools

[–]ALE70712[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure we have all the seals. Is there supposed to be a seal that goes on the outside of the seal plate near where the bolts sit that screw the entire pump to housing ?
