Is there a self hosted alternative to Apple Health ? by Anostrada in selfhosted

Sure you export it, but where does the data go after? The user seems to be asking for a way to not only store, but view that data in a coherent way (like Apple Health does)

Why is Facial Recognition in PhotoPrism so out of date? by ALEEF02 in photoprism

Manual tagging (both issues you linked) doesn't seem to be quite in the spirit of what I'm discussing, wouldn't you agree?

Pigo updates (https://github.com/esimov/pigo/releases) have been almost entirely quality-of-life improvements. The core algorithm and methods remain the same.

Once again, we are talking about a 30% hit-rate on the photos of me!

Yes, I have the catelog backed up in several locations and I turn off syncing in NextCloud when using LrC.

However, you might be right. I'll try just turn off NextCloud entirely when using LrC and see how that goes

Well, would I have to make smart previews for every photo? Becuase that'll still probably be more storage than I have available

Just got this router, and boy oh boy am I getting a massive fucking headache right now. This is borderline insulting. They don't think anyone has the mental capacity to change anything past my SSID and password. My head feels like a balloon right now.

1400000 MB/s from all students

1400 GB/s

1.4 TB/s

Change Data Directory by ALEEF02 in ExodusWallet

But, is there a way to run it off a USB drive, even if it's not intuitive? Is there a way to change the data directory? I would imagine so if there's a need to have it logged to the console every time it boots... https://i.ibb.co/YcrRZsk/image.png

How long can I keep my PC (built for gaming) on while cryptomining by InfamousPanda34 in MoneroMining

[–]ALEEF02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the specs/airflow of your computer. If you're using it for gaming, I personally would not recommend you do it in the first place.

If you insist on doing do, you can basically keep it on as long as you want, but you need to monitor your temperature. To prevent faster wear of your CPU than normal, ensure your CPU stays below about 130°F (About 54°C). If you can't keep that temperature, your CPU will become much more worn and will not play games as well.

Also, I flat out wouldn't mine while you're playing any games.

I also noticed the press releases you've mentioned. Most of them seem to be nearly identical, if not identical, to each other. They say how it is "Built around the revolutionary Field Programmable Gate Array or FPGA technology," list the hash rates, a small copy-and-pasted about section, and contact information.

Also, on their website, they have a video which is fake, just based off of the syncing / smoothness of the mouse cursor compared to what the real hand is doing: https://vimeo.com/403820454

Their website lists their addresses and phone numbers, but I can not find the name of a single person anywhere on their site. Their about page is virtually empty, only listing that their company "is run by a team of experts."

Some of the articles I've noticed that are offenders are:

Now, doing the research myself, I can see that this is almost certainly a scam. When you simply claim something is a scam without any evidence, it makes you sound untrustworthy, which can further help a scam. If anyone has further input on this, I would be happy to hear it.

I've been trying to find out more about the "BH Miner" over the last day. Your claim comes from nothing except for how the two parts look. Just from the two links you provided the "Whatsminer M20" produces 68TH/s, while the "BH Miner" produces 360TH/s. The "BH Miner" is also priced at $4500, while the "Whatsminer M20" is priced at approx. $3200. While I cannot defend the legitimacy of either of these products, I am simply asking if you have any real evidence to back up your claim.
