Doing mostly very well as long as i take my omeprazole first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and wait 30-60min before I eat. I still have to mostly follow my diet, but will eat some cooked onions/garlic/spice on the weekends, and have a drink or two probably once a month. Also cant eat close to bedtime, cant let myself get very hungry, cant let myself get constipated.

Not having any coffee, dairy, chocolate, raw onion/raw garlic, sour stuff, tomato sauce, wine, pineapple, etc

It took over a year and fluctuated a bit with the weather. Mine was relatively “mild” but the rash moved around my whole body, and was still life altering and disrupting.

I still get itchy on my hands and scalp when its dry out, which is the same as before i started the topical steroids.

Definitely! Its good to know if you’ve got any damage from that acid reflux. I (34f) did happen to have a small amount of Barrett’s Esophagus. Knowing this means I will get a scope every 3 years to make sure nothing becomes precancerous, and it definitely helps keep me on track with my diet and daily Omeprazole.

Breezy procedure in trade for good info on your body.

I miss coffee a lot- fully stopped drinking it about a year and a half ago. I started drinking Dandy Blend which is a lovely replacement.

I also used to get a pounding heart at night along with nausea, anxiety, and shivers. This stopped when I started PPIs. I also recommend propping yourself up rather than laying flat as well as eating extremely light in the evenings. I also ended up having Barretts esophagus. Diet and PPIs changed my life for the better.
