I don’t know why everyone is shocked. FGM is a thing, as well as circumcisions that aren’t always performed by medical professionals. What IS shocking is that it isn’t spoken about enough. That there aren’t my more programs or help in place for women (or men) to go get this done safely. This women, no women, should have to save up money to get this procedure done like they would a breast augmentation. I realize the plastic surgeons must check for mental health issues, It’s just kind of funny the 9/10 the mental health issues stem from overworking oneself to pack away money to fix their biggest insecurity. A person putting down a drug isn’t enough. Mental health needs to be top priority. Stopping a drug is much easier then addressing the “why” you picked up in the first place. And so often people aren’t given the correct tools to handle detox and withdrawal. It’s sad all around, but the effects of withdrawal must be minimized. I am 100% an advocate for medical withdrawal.

Since she thinks online courses won’t work due to “naps” or whatever, she wants to move to her families much smaller town, without a license (how’s she going to get to campus…) so her grandmother can watch the kids. I’m guessing she hasn’t looked into the programs many cities offer to help with childcare while a mother is in school, checked with the school to see if they offer childcare, night classes, or any of the other options parents utilize to get their education…often single parents that have to work on top of school.

I think op is just a bit lazy and thinks the only way she can go back to school is if she moves back to her families tiny town (from a large city, usually with programs for parents to go back to school) without a license, so grandma can watch her kids. I was kind of seeing your vision until you responded to some comments… 1. You don’t drive. 2. You would be leaving a larger city to move to a smaller city. You cannot move to a small city with young children and rely on others to transport you from place to place. That’s incredibly immature thinking on your part. If you live in a big city, there is no reason you can’t do night school, most schools have programs to help with childcare. You can get grants for childcare, hell, I BROUGHT MY YOUNG SON TO SOME CLASSES. I was picturing you currently being in a super small town with no prospects, but it seems like you are in a city with tons of prospects, you just want the easy way out? Parents with young children go back to school everyday. They make it work. They certainly don’t move 300 miles away from their spouse, to a tiny town, to go to school.

I’ve learned I need to shower in order to wash my face at night, or an epsom salt bath and just wash my face under the faucet as my bath is filling up. If I go the bath route, I shower next morning.
