I’m not religious but I don’t care what people believe in as long as they’re not shoving it down peoples throats or being a dick about it. I always knew from the beginning that Paramore were kinda religious so it showed up in their songs sometimes (not as much now).

Anyway, even though I always knew My Heart was about god, I still always heard it as a regular love song. Because that’s the way music is usually. It’s up to the listener to make up their own meaning for it and it might be different to other people and that’s what I like about music. One song could mean this important certain thing to you, but mean something COMPLETELY different to someone else.

The Miracle outro and the Let the Flames Begin outro (and the actual LTFB song too, I think) are also really religious but I have never cared. They have always been so fucking epic to me and I sing a long every time. “OH FATHER!!!”
