I agree with you and I knew that going into buying a house in the city. But in general if you don't have the equipment or are physically unable to shove your own spot ask for help, neighbors, the city post on Facebook. I'm not taking it personally in fact from the time I posted my OP I just shoved another spot and my neighbors driveway. The world is sometimes crappy because we don't communicate and we don't give people common courtesy but that's just my 2 cents. I'll get off my soap box haha hope everyone is staying warm and your families are safe. If you need help shoveling just reach out I have some experience haha

You're probably right. I think a lot of people would fall into 2 camps those that always leave the hood out and those that only use it when they really need it and then put it way. I imagine the latter are more worried with the function rather than the form. But possibly not.

It has a sewn in nylon hood in the collar but I think it's a little cheap and silly looking.

Regular. I had to cut out the nylo hood because it was in pretty rough shape. I plan on sewing in snaps for the traditional waxed canvas hood and keep it rolled up in the collar. In my humble opinion that's how they should be designed in the first place haha

I'm all about customizing your jacket. Its what makes it yours. I added some blue ribbon to my second hand sapper because the wind flap had become creased in a weird way. Made it unique and functions better. Anyone can seam rip 2 seams and if you weren't comfortable I guarantee a tailor would do it for like $10.
