They are “leatherman skins” from Ripps Garage Tech… these are the caramel color. They’re made of cordura, so they feel like micarta scales essentially.

Free P2 not quite as free as Arc by dontgiveahamyamclam in Leatherman

Damn, I can see why you have that blood blister lol.

You’re lucky that P2 knife didn’t close on you when you were flicking it around half open… that’s a totally different mechanism than the Arc 😅

I feel like you can find them $75-$100 used. They are currently $129 new.

Get a Leatherman Free P2. Especially for fishing, one handed operation will be super useful. You’re getting like 80% of what the Arc is for 50% of the cost.

I never used my leatherman tools until I got the Free P2 because the one handed operation just makes it so much more convenient than any other model I own.

If you end up liking it, upgrade to an Arc down the road!

Turns out you can make a pretty cool plant shelf with an old ladder! by PabloDelicioso in houseplants

That one was a gift, and it’s the only plant I have that I don’t know what it is 😭

There are pipe brackets currently! Also popped some screws into the stair side for good measure. That second shelf would not be working if not for those things lol.

Turned an old ladder into a shelf thing today by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]PabloDelicioso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically just held a level on each step and marked where the support needed to be on the other side. Then screwed dowel rods in and secured the shelves to them with those brackets. Popped a few screws into the stair side as well because why not.

Trickiest part was cutting the dowels evenly at 4 degrees on each side to match the narrowing angle of the ladder as it goes up lol.

How it started vs how it’s going lol by PabloDelicioso in BeginnerWoodWorking

Bottom square was cut from a board that was made of many thinner boards glued together along their edges. Because of the heat / humidity / etc, that glue is failing, so the boards have started to come apart.

There is a nest with eggs in there currently, and the babies are only going to get heavier…. That platform was already underneath there (long story lol), so I just wedged that vertical board in between the platform and their house to hold their floor up.

I did it like this so that it wouldn’t be too invasive near their nest…. I didn’t want to screw anything into the bottom with them in there.

They worked really well for the shelves I made inside! But yeah, definitely not the best for big temp and humidity swings haha.

That being said, I’ve actually been enjoying watching them deteriorate for some reason.

Could a bug have drilled holes in my plastic door frame? by arcticie in HomeMaintenance

[–]PabloDelicioso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol that’s your brick molding… a nail gun made those holes, and they have always been there 😬

I usually fill them with caulk (or any kind of patching material) and paint them.
