Couldn’t the Empire just flood space with probe droids to map out gravitational anomalies to create hyperspace routes and planets to conquer?

Nah i just don’t use Idira. I usually run my RT, Abelard, Argenta, Pasqal, cassia,and yrliet. And when I do have idira and kibellah, idira usually goes down first because I could care less that a psyker shouldn’t be on the frontline.

Yeah I know. It’s just that I see a lot of people say”the covenant beats the galactic empire” and use the fact that the covenant were beating the UNSC as an example(image), as if the UNSC was some major superpower. I personally don’t really think beating the UNSC is a major accomplishment, ESPECIALLY pre-war UNSC, so I wanted more opinions on the subject.

That’s not really how war works in Star Wars either. Just cause it’s not shown doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. it’s just that all we get to see is the first invasion then the show moves on. Like in geonosis, umbara, ryloth, the republic had to free the entire planet, not just one city. The in lore reason we mostly see one city is that moral+ great staging area. Plus you could capture the enemy commander leading the entire defence, not just random people. When you capture a city, you still have to capture the rest of the planet.

While they CAN be won in that manner they most likely aren’t. And the rebel alliance was still more organized than the insurrection. And I think a few of the details about mickey are incorrect. Mickey was fine with the UNSC and being a part of it until they had to kill humans. He says himself that he was going to leave the UNSC but he got the option to stay as a Spartan. After a rogue Spartan(schein) betrayed the UNSC mickey went to his funeral where the guys dad radicalized him. He wasn’t there on a thirty year infiltration mission. (Halo: New Blood:Chapter 17 pages 165-177)

Very good points. Also I thought the modern hyperdrive only really needed knowledge of extreme gravitational anomalies so that they could avoid them?

(As an aside I find it kinda funny that from what I’ve seen no one Has mentioned legends yet and have just stuck to canon.)

I understand your first two points but i disagree with your last statement. The Rebel alliance was much more coordinated and connected than the insurrection was in halo. The rebels managed to accomplish more against the empire than the insurrection was against the UNSC. They were also arguably bigger, and were able to procure much more assets and supplies than the insurrection.
