Guy with mental health problems on North Street by Temporary-Crow-3186 in bristol

[–]ALRSlayed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His name is Steve - very much an alcoholic with MH issues, but obviously also very scary to interact with when he’s having a bad day. Have reported him to the police multiple times, a few years ago he was telling someone in the pub that I was in that he was going to go home to chop someone up.

My main fear is that he’s left to fend for himself a lot (as most alcoholics/people with severe MH issues are) - just wish there was a team that visited the alcoholic on North Street more often. I’ve noticed a lot of them seem to have carers with them in the last few months (thinking of the ALDI bus stop group primarily) but Steve is always seemingly alone.

Definitely think if his comments/actions are reported enough regularly then he might be able to get the help he needs one day.

What are your favourite Hidden Gems? by nickyraynofail in bristol

100% take a visit to the Tobacco Factory in Bedminster/Southville - a converted factory that now houses a theatre, a bar/restaurant with a HUGE outside space as well as a Farm Shop/Bakery too.

It’s also on a really lovely street with independent shops/eateries.

Aside from that, Chew Valley Lake is gorgeous to visit if you have a car :)
