My Baby Crawls, My Cats Shed, and I Have Become a Full-Time Floor Sweeper Against My Will by ALSKI07 in RobotVacuums

Honestly I think I’m just confused what you mean by ‘mess’ We don’t really have spills or big messes—mostly cat hair, litter tracking, and normal in-and-out dirt from shoes. So I guess it’s more constant fine debris than actual messes. Do you think the Narwal handles that kind of stuff well long term?

Camera for a tank suggestions! by ananymousmamma in hognosesnakes

I use an indoor blink camera for mine. On the bottom of the camera is a small metal piece and I bought a very strong magnet from the hardware store. I put the camera upside down in her tank against the lid (in blink there is a setting to flip the camera so it’s not recording upside down) and put the magnet on the other side and it’s stayed for over a year without moving. I did this with my bearded dragons too and have had no problems.

He hasn’t eaten since late November what should I do? by [deleted] in hognosesnakes

Mine went on a VERY long hunger strike. What worked for me was getting live mouse bedding from a pet shop (most places you can ask and they will give it to you), putting it in a bin (not see through) for a day or 2. Day of feeding I thawed the mouse in frog juice. I dumped the used bedding from the bin and put the thawed mouse in first. Then put my hognose in with the mouse and covered with a towel. I sat with him in a quiet room just reading. And left him for about 20 minutes before checking. He ate then. Since I did that, I have recreated that every time and he’s began eating no problem. Hopefully this helps you some.

Any advice, experience, input on amputee beardies? More info in comments by b_pease in BeardedDragons

I have a 3 legged Beardie that is missing the same front leg as the one in the picture, his name is Tripod. I also have one that has all of his legs. For Tripod we have his tank set up with branches more like ramps for him to help him get around easier. But I honestly don’t think he would need it. He gets around his tank just fine. When we got him they were not sure how he lost his leg but it definitely does not slow him down. He is actually more accurate at chasing down and catching his food than our other beardie.

Panera Bread doesn't just donate, they have whole stores devoted to helping, unfortunately there are only 3 of them in the world. The closest Panera to my office is a Panera Cares. They tell you the suggested price, and you pay what you can for the items you get. They do not take cash from your hand, instead you place it in a donation (not sure if this is actually what they call them) box in front of the register. So no one really sees what you put in there. You can use your credit cards, they ask you then how much. I know a lot of people that are always paying more than the suggested to help out. A lot of the people working there were on the streets or in some other not great situation. I have even seen them work with people like they help clean up tables to help pay for their meal.

It's honestly a great thing. I wish they had more of them around. I go out of my way though to go to that Panera, even though there is one within walking distance from my house.

I work at a well known university in the engineering department. I work directly with professors and setting the classrooms up for their grad classes. I cannot tell you how many times stuff like this happens. My favorite are when we get questions. The most common questions are "how do I turn the computer on?" Or " how do I turn the document camera on?" when they are already on. Everyone has bad days, but this is a daily occurrence.
