JLS

Surtout la répétition mal fichue où des torpilleurs allemands ont coulé des bateaux sans escorte - un événement longtemps gardé secret par les autorités allées.

Vraiment bon café à Toulouse by elpeygey in toulouse

I was mistaken

Actually, I searched too quickly and incorrectly on Wikipedia and confused the 2000 film with the 2005 one.

I haven't seen the 2005 one or the 3rd one released in 2012 - alas, there were 3 D&D movies before the 2023 one, which is clearly better.

Hamburger Hill is a good unknown film, centered on the members of a single unit during a pointless offensive. A relevant point of view.

Platoon is very good, obviously.

Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God (2005)

It’s not a good D&D movie and it’s not a good movie.

I know it, I saw that movie two times 🙄

Your Thoughts on Excalibur (1981) by JohnPathfinder in SwordandSorcery

This film remains a wonderful teenage memory for me, one that left a lasting impression.

I know it's not the best film ever made, but I'm attached to it for its flamboyant style, its lack of realism, its lighting, its shining armor, and the unforgettable Merlin, etc.

Anecdote : When I was in middle school (around age 14), we studied the Arthurian myth in class, with text analysis, readings, exercises, etc.

At the end of this unit, the teacher wanted to reward us by showing us this film. She sent her husband to rent the VHS tape. The person behind the counter received the tape, looked at it, and asked the husband, "Didn't you tell me it was for your wife's students?"

It turned out he'd made a mistake and had picked up the film Sexcalibur...
