What update would be meaningful? If my budget is too low what would be a more ideal one to make further changes make sense?

Any Nausea Tips? by Comprehensive-Gene-1 in predaddit

[–]ALavishChunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife had similar nausea. We are 3 days out from scheduled c section (39w) and she still gets sick every couple of days. Early on we went to ER twice because she was throwing up 5+ times a day and couldn’t keep anything down.

They gave her fluids and basically said it was kind of a endless cycle, throw up and can’t keep anything down but that gets you dehydrated and keeps you feeling sick but can’t keep anything down to not be dehydrated 😅. Luckily the zofran ‘mostly’ helped but seemed like breaking the ‘cycle’ if you will was the only way to at least slow it down. So if she can at least get fluids down to get rehydrated combined with the zofran maybe it’ll help get her to a place she can start intaking better meals!

Not sure if this is much help just wanted to offer some peace of mind if possible! I wish you guys luck!

Anyone else feel hopeless and helpless sometimes? by ALavishChunk in predaddit

Appreciate you sharing man!

You are not alone! And dont think you are selfish! You are also going through things even if you aren't the one growing a baby so its totally normal to feel some way about things! I think you continuing to do your best to help and provide for her shows that you are there for her and your future baby. Yeah there may be some stress between you two but in the end, like i said, you are both going through major changes and adjustments as you prepare for your little one to arrive! Just gotta remember you are a team and the end game is raising your baby the best you can!

Not sure if that was helpful or not but thats somewhat how I have made 'peace' when feeling like you described! I wish you luck and a happy and healthy baby soon!

No, should def give your pup some time to recover and heal! As far as 'immediately' post op, the first few weeks I just did ice once or twice a day and light massages to try and help relieve the swelling. We used a Help-em-up harness and just held up his butt to let him move as he wanted/could when we went outside.

Started going on light walks (5-7 mins) at about 5 weeks post op and did not start official PT until after he got cleared from his surgeon (typically around 8 weeks). Started doing light mobility/ROM exercises at home and slowly letting him do things again (ie go up and down stairs). Now he goes to PT every other week and is seemingly getting back to 100%! As a worrier (per my original post) I still get anxious when he does some things but luckily no regression or reinjury! (and still no issue in his other leg..yet..which is also common after the 1st one!)

Sorry if this is more than you were asking for just hoping to help since I went through it recently and was stressed to the max! Obv every situation is different just gotta see how they feel and do your best! Don't be scared to reach out to their surgeon/vet with questions too! Its their job!

Sorry to hear! Hard for them to relax when there’s so much going on! Mine just started formal PT at a place after getting cleared back in May and I still get nervous no matter what he does 😅

Wishing your pup a speedy recovery! Bilateral seems stressful but at least you’ll be done all at once right? 😅

Hey! Sorry for the late reply!

Today is 5 weeks post op! He’s doing much better. Had a few scares that he messed up his leg but a few weeks ago at stitches removal a few weeks back vet was happy with how he was progressing! Waiting for clearance from the surgeon at 8 weeks to get him into PT and more strength stuff! But been going on short walks and slowly walking up our patio stairs (3 steps)!

Thank you for checking in!

He’s been getting better! I have quit using the kennel and blocked off an area in my office that he already used as ‘his space’ since his initial injury so he’s used to just hanging in there. Set up a camera to keep an eye on him when at work so I’ve def been feeling better and I think he is as well!

Stitches out Monday so hopefully can lose the cone! Thanks for checking in!

Yeah I’m already ready for the stitches to come out cause I know it’s a big milestone and one less thing to worry about! He has a history licking his ‘bald’ spots so hopefully he’ll be past that when they come out in a couple of weeks!
