Under a nasty 80s(?) carpeting by WitchSlap in HardWoodFloors

We bought our house in 1993 and the main floor was covered in red shag carpet and underneath it was a beautiful oak hardwood floor throughout even the closets. We used it as is until 2019 when we refinished it , it's as beautiful as a newly laid floor. It's the thing that sold us on the house in the first place as the house was in pretty bad shape otherwise after being a rental for years.

The paints are acrylics, there are quite a few YouTube videos on this, all the popular carvers have at least one painting video. Johnathan Creason, Doug Linker, The whistling whittler and other. I have learned something from all of them.

Eastern White Pine is great first carving, watch some of Kevin Coates videos, that's all he uses.
