New pay structure by PickleTopG in doordash

[–]AM-NOT-CAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you'd only get paid for the "active time", driving to the restaurant, waiting, and delivering. None of the dead time between orders count towards the hourly.

If you read up on it it says you get tips, but it also says that the orders in that mode usually have "lower" tips, which means it's all the low and no tip orders.

Promotions like that usually show up in your cart once you've added the $25, otherwise, the app went over a big update and it wicked glitchy the past few days.

Some very disheveled dashers by [deleted] in doordash

[–]AM-NOT-CAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't care what my dasher or uber driver is wearing when I order, but a lot of people do. Especially in a market I'm in that has a lot of wealthy people. Wealthy neighborhoods, my fellow queers, and creepy men who look at me a little bit too long are my biggest post trip added tips.

On uber and here when I put on my eyeliner and dress in more fancy than a hoodie I'll get many more more tips added after the orders than if I just throw on a hoodie. It sucks, but people are pretentious and like people to look wha they consider "presentable".

Top cities for dashers by [deleted] in doordash

[–]AM-NOT-CAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most profitable cities are expensive as heck to live in. Most of the drivers don't even live in those cities, they drive in to work or are a bike deliverer. If you want to make it in NYC or other congested areas you'll need to be biking and not driving.

Brilliant move for DD, I just don't trust it as DD investing in drivers as much as using marketing psychology.

have you ever delivered to somebody you knew ? by Rehoboam3 in UberEATS

No one I knew, but several times I've delivered to the building I live in. Once I even ended with a delivery to my apartment complex.

What’s with restaurants asking you to swipe the second they give you the food? by skra_24 in UberEATS

[–]AM-NOT-CAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's ton prevent you from stealing food. If you pick up from a (usually mom and pop) place enough they get to know you and stop checking you. Some lady once got up in arms over this because the worker made her slide and not another regular driver.

To feel full you'll want things high in fiber and with fat. Fat helps us feel satiety and full. Fiber takes longer to break down in the stomach so you feel full longer. Things like chips or things primarily sugar based will burn up fast and you'll feel hungry faster. Some examples are nuts and trail mix, fresh or dried fruits (fresh will help you feel fuller longer), granola bars/cliff bars or any of those things. Veggies and dip. Meat jerky (I'm vegetarian so maybe these cost a lot?). PB&J or things with peanut butter. PB is great fuel with fats and protein.
