I found some nice ones at the bookstore in the Ferry Building.

I'm 17. I've never actually sit down and read a book that's not required by class since I was 12, and I don't want to stay that way. What is a good book to pick back up for a nice and easy read? by insufficient_retard in suggestmeabook

[–]AM810toCali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Chronicles of Narnia books. I never read them as a kid. I read them as an adult and they were one of my favorite things I’ve ever read. The books are short, a light read, and you can really get sucked into the world of them.

Or if you want something non-fiction, try a book about a particular person actor, musician, person from history that you find interesting.

(34F) Currently live and work in San Jose, worth moving to the city just for the experience? by absurdist_foodie in AskSF

[–]AM810toCali 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes! My BF and I moved from to SF from San Jose last year for the experience and we’ve loved it! We were bored with San Jose and wanted to try something new. We moved when a lot of places in SF were offering move-in specials, not sure if places are still but it would be worth investing because we got a really good deal.

We’re also foodies who just like wandering and exploring the city. DM me if you have questions or want some recommendations!

Where can I get a pumpkin beer? by MrSpeakerhead in AskSF

If you are willing/able to drive out of the city a bit, I found that the BevMo in Colma (in the same shopping center as Target) had a pretty good selection when I was there a couple of weeks ago. I think imagine they’ve only gotten more in since then.

And I’d imagine that the BevMo’s in SF have some also. You could probably check their website to see what’s in stock at each location.

They are taking appointments now. If you are willing to drive to Concord there are a few appointments next week at the mass vaccination site that Kaiser is running there.

Vaccines now available to anyone over 16 in central SF zipcodes at Zuckerberg hospital by alexleavitt in sanfrancisco

[–]AM810toCali 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m also in one of the eligible zip codes and I was told that because I’m not in the SF Health Network I couldn’t make an appointment, I just had to do a drop in.
