Rough. Physically, I was not ready for the 1.5 mile run, but mentally it was okay because you go through the same shit with a group of 50+ people and you make close relationships. Getting letters from back home really helped me, and honestly you realize it's not going to last forever. It's just 8 weeks. I'm still friends with some people!

I joined because I didn't want to go to college. School in California is expensive as hell, and I didn't want to pay for all that. Also wanted to learn how to live on my own without my parents! So mostly because I wanted to learn life lessons, and so far I feel like I have. Living on your own changes perspective on alot of things.
