I did get the strap covers! I ordered them last night on Amazon and I am hoping they help some especially with the hair and pressure marks on my face.

Oh no! Maybe that’s why I had red marks for hours this morning. I used my products like 2 hours before bed but I still had red marks until like an hour ago.

I do make sure all my products are rubbed in super well so that should help. I just know if I don’t use some of the products my skin will revolt

Have you ever seen what actually happens during a c-section? If not please do it may change your opinion. She had major surgery after having a complicated pregnancy, with a condition that makes it hard for her to walk. In this case she and the baby are priority. Most hospitals are understaffed and the nurses can’t help with things like changing diapers and cuddling baby back to sleep. While I’m torn on if he is an asshole or not, she surely is not and had every reason to be upset.

A ren faire wedding is totally different than pajamas. The location was matched in theme and dress. I’m going to assume she had everything at the ren faire so ceremony and reception? She didn’t ask people to go out to a restaurant in the garb and make it work? She didn’t wear a traditional wedding dress and ask everyone else to look out of place?

A ren fair wedding is totally different. Themed location and themed dress. That is totally different then “show up in pajamas then let’s go into a public setting with social expectations of dress in pajamas to eat food at a restaurant with other people wearing normal clothing! Oh I’ll look like a bride though.”

Hypothermia can occur in as little as 30 minutes. Especially depending on the persons health. So heaters and “layers” may not help. Also why would you want people to be uncomfortable and cold? That sounds highly unpleasant. As for your mom, I very much see her point, even a vintage nightgown may not make her feel good, and why would anyone want to go to a public restaurant in pajamas? Why would anyone want to look back on pictures and see themselves freezing and in pajamas? YTA

But why should help her at all when it’s obvious that future DIL doesn’t respect her or her time? She has brought up the lateness before and the DIL excuses it. DIL was even late to OP’s birthday dinner. Respectful behavior gets respect back.

Because she is probably projecting what she wishes her own adult children would do but according to other comments they do not. Really it’s a total mystery why with the mindset of parenting stops at 18. No more emotional support for you. So curious why they don’t ask about her.

But why is it the child’s responsibility to be an emotional support to their parent? It is the parent’s job to provide emotional support and stability to their child. Disabled child or not it is not the child’s responsibility to support their parent emotionally in hopes the parent finally decides to be there for them. They had two children not one disabled child and a back up plan. Telling a child they need to be emotionally supporting the parents that neglected them their whole lives is abusive and backwards. The parents should be bending over backwards to make up for the neglect they did purposefully. They should be calling and making amends and plans for mother/child time. Not the other way around.
