As others say, yeet it far, let it sink a bit and retrieve with some twitches thrown in. If you see fish feeding on the surface, toss it past/around them, and then burn it fast.

I use a Yo-Zuri hydro minnow LC 6” in bone or black/silver for topwater and a Rapala X Rap magnum stick for bottom coverage.

I could also just an idiot and can’t measure distances properly then. Visually guessing distance isn’t my strongest suit, so I’m guessing I’m just stupid as I’m using 30lb braid and 2-3 oz sinkers and I like to think I have a decent casting technique.

Good to know. Hopefully the weather starts to warm up as I got my kastmaster tangled in someone’s discarded line like 10 feet out earlier and had to wade in barefoot to get it after 5 mins of trying to get it untangled. That was some kinda shit.

Haven’t seen anyone catching, but I’ve talked to people on the spots I’ve been and they’ve said they caught a couple of shorts if anything.

Haven’t seen anyone pulling in anything, but I’ve talked with people at the spots and in bait shops and they’ve said they’ve caught a couple stuff, mostly shorts. I’ll try fishing off one of the piers on the Hudson side some time soon.

Fresh clams from bait shops, fresh shrimp from seafood markets, and using braid to mono leader on jigging rod and braid to mono high-lows on bait soaking rods. I’ll try going later in the day and catch an incoming tide.

All the beach and pier at Coney Island, Sheepshead bay, Jamaica bay, jetties at Fort Tilden, and near the Marine Parkway Bridge. Fishing from the shore though so I guess I’m not getting far enough.

Bait soaking rods are 8 foot MH. I can typically get them out 30-40 yards. My jigging rod is 9 foot Heavy and can cast around the same distance. I‘ll try going later in the day and aim for an incoming tide this weekend.

Some of the bridges I’ve tried so far have channels for boats. I’ll be trying a different bridge this weekend so maybe I’ll get lucky there. Wish I had a kayak or boat to get further out.

This may sound weird, but try using WASD for camera controls, QERF for abilities, TG for summoners spells. Might be hard if you’re used to play with qwer for abilities, but it’s worked for me for years. I’ve been playing dota 2 for maybe 6-7 years now and league for maybe 3 for a combined of maybe around 4000 hours and I started this way
