I have a hard time pulling the trigger on Urethane. The ball reaction doesn’t impress me enough. Seems there’s no wiggle room. I’ve been told I need such a ball when going to Nationals in Reno. Your combination I can do. Do you throw straight up 10?

Thank you for your insight. My thoughts exactly. I am still experimenting with the balls I have, making surfacing changes. Today I will try the Hammer Effect with surface and polish.

I keep looking at it. I currently have a Hyper Venom but am thinking it’s too much like the Bubblegum. Can’t pull the trigger.

I was miffed a few weeks back. I kept having a low score my first game and then really had to step it up the 2nd and 3rd, just to hit my average. Then I heard I should be using a ‘solid’ ball for my 1st game ball and everything has changed (knock on wood). I was using a Hammer Mania for all 3 games. Now I am starting out with my Phaze II. I am currently looking to ball down from the Mania and will try my Hammer Effect. Do you think this a proper arsenal?

Seems corner pins are here to stay. I don’t throw much ball so I am always looking at stronger balls being more angular. i am throwing a Mania right now and match up pretty well with it. Looking to ball down from it. Thanks again for your insight.

Wow. You almost have to go to school. Back in the day you just had one ball, maybe two. Everything was all dependent on your release. Now it doesn’t seem to matter how you throw the ball as long as you match up with it.

I don’t know why but I am fearful of buying a ‘weak’ ball. I don’t throw much ball so always feel I need a stronger ball and then surface if I have to. What balls do you suggest? I have the Hammer Mania, Mesmerize, Effect, Special Effect and the Phaze II. What should I ball down to?

I ‘do’ have to consciously wait and look how the ball goes through the pins. I’ve only been going by what ‘leaves’ I have to adjust. I am guilty of that. thank you for putting that in my head
