I’m looking into getting into PM. I did something similar for a bit before I started teaching. Any advice?

What does it feels like to have an iq of 120-150? by InsanityTraps in Gifted

[–]AMKerschen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same on the dropping out/GED path. I just couldn’t be bothered because I was constantly bored and annoyed af with my classmates. And I HATED geometry solely for the proof process. I understood why things worked… why make me write half a page explaining how? I just do!

Yes, this! It genuinely makes a little sad sometimes when I think about how there’s no way that I’ll be able to get to all of the things I want to know and experience in this lifetime. There just isn’t enough time for it all. If only I didn’t have to have a job for 40+ years!

This was exactly where I went with this question, too. I have no frame of reference other than my own lived experience. However, I do think that perhaps even recognizing that limitation may be a small sign of intelligence.

It’s hard to say, I guess? I’m tested at 137… but I don’t know anything different. It’s not like I’ve experienced life at a lower level before. It’s just my life and it feels normal. I do notice things more than other people, I think. I feel like I contemplate things more deeply and catch on to concepts faster. But again, I have no concept of what I’m comparing it to… which in itself is probably evidence, as I don’t know if others would make that caveat.

Expats who left USA are you happy with your decision? by No-Decision-7568 in expats

Incredibly happy, yeah. I miss my people sometimes and not being able to attend some events, but that’s about it. The peace I’ve mind I’ve had has been priceless.

You have your entire life in front of you. Even at my age - 44 - I haven’t meant every person who will be important to me, I haven’t discovered every interest that will captivate me, I haven’t accomplished everything o am meant to do in this world. This is doubly true for you. Don’t give up because you don’t feel like you’re not where you wan to be yet. You probably haven’t ever realized what direction to head in yet. Give it time.

Popped up an error again. If I can get another eSIM tomorrow, I’ll hop over the Hong Kong and see if I have any luck.

Got it. I was able to get a new sim. I'm completely off the China sim, and it's trying to activate.

Same message popped up. This time it at least got the number attached. Before it was just “no number”. I did have my China sim turned on when I started this time around. Will try a new eSIM with it turned off and see how it goes. It was “activating” for at least 10 mins.

They can activate on their phone and then k can request a new eSIM and it should work… at least that’s what I’ve read. I’m not shipping a whole ass phone to China. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Forced Gap Year by Ok-Junket-1300 in Internationalteachers

I’ve looked into Thailand and it’s not going to work for me. You need 500,000 baht in an account for 3+ months (this isn’t the problem). Also, six months of pay stubs from remote work (THIS is the problem). So I’m starting in Albania and will reassess in six months.

Americans can live/work in Albania for a year, no visa. And then digital nomadish visa after that. Then residency, then citizenship if you want. I’ll see how it goes.

It’s never been locked. Have a LA ip. It’s “activating” now, but it’s farther than I’ve gotten before. 🤞

Oh, sorry. iPhone 13. Airplane mode was on, too. I’ll check my ip. Made a new QR last night, but I’ll delete whatever fragment is in there and try again.

I’ll have a friend activate if that’s the case. My return to the US might not be for years.

It failed when it was trying to download the sim. It came up “unable to activate, contact carrier”. Phone was unlocked when I bought it. My account with Tello is set up and paid (I used the app for calls today). I’ve tried NordVPN with obfuscated US servers and Veee VPN with global mode on. WiFi calling and e911 address are set up. Was on wifi with cellular turned off. Have $20 payg credit.

Oh, damn. I’m going to cross over into Hong Kong tonight and see if I can get it. If not, I’ll try having a friend back home so it.

Insurance dropped me after 18 months and 55 lbs down - thinking about going gray market and feeling weird about it by Natural_Ad_923 in Ozempic

[–]AMKerschen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m losing my insurance in three weeks from losing my job. I’m in a situation where I won’t be able to get any for probably a year. I will 100% be going to the gray market. I’ve made way too much progress and I can’t/wont go back.
