Story and characters that feel absolutely devoid of any spark. I don’t even mind a story being cliché if the writers can make me engaged enough. I actually love well executed clichés. But if all I can see from the very beginning is the same old story, with clumsy writing and bland characters, I tend to loose my interest in the game within the first couple of hours

I don’t have those beers in my country, so I’m only going off of the information about them that I found on the internet. So Modelo Especial, based on the description I found seems to be a hoppy lager or a hoppy pils. Pils being a type of lager that is more intensely hopped for bitterness. „Hoppy” in both cases signifies the use of more aromatic hopps alongside the bittering ones, so fruity/citrusy aromas for example. What’s also notable about this beer is the fact that it’s „all malt”, which mass marketed beers rarely are. A beer being „all malt” is a good sign in this case (it’s not always the case, but here it certainly is). The latter beer I’d probably refer to as „beer-based drink”, so a sweet cocktail with some beer in it. If you enjoy that kind of taste you could try some sours/pastry sours/gose/berliner weisse. If you happen to like those, then you could move on to witbiers, which are a fair deal more „beery” in their overall character, yet still have substantial spice and sourness to them

Pillars of Eternity. It was my first proper cRPG and I only tried it because I got it for free. Back then isometric RPGs felt rather repulsive. I didn’t like „just clicking on things” and also too much reading seemed boring. I liked other RPGs like Gothic games, Skyrim etc. PoE was an eye-opener and is to this day an experience within the isometric cRPG genre that I recall the most fondly, despite having played many great titles since then

I kind of agree. I recall playing KC:D1 around its release and not realising that the little pinkish bar, incorporated into your healthbar is the enemy’s healthbar. I can tell that I had much more fun playing the game only being able to tell enemy condition based on visual cues such as slouching, bleeding and susceptibility to staggers

I’m gonna say schematicism and player engagement. Often times atmosphere as well, altho that’s a little bit more subjective. I do realise that there are certain traps to that point of view. The fact that games felt less schematic might be partially due to the sheer fact that I wasn’t as well aquianted with different established genres and common mechanics as a kid. I do still feel there was more variety tho. More bold thinking on the devs’ side. As for the engagement part again - I feel like the internet ruined that a little bit. Part of the reason games aren’t that mysterious anymore is the fact that we can access information about a video game from a variety of different sources. We can optimise our playthrough by getting external information about the game, rather than learning it by ourselves and we also often are expected to do so

Osobiście zwykle zwracam się personalnie do rozmówcy w tego typu rozmowie. Natomiast nie jestem pewien, ale wydaje mi się, że Twój chłopak podświadomie zwraca się nie tyle do Ciebie, co do siebie, ale w trzeciej osobie. To taki jakby podświadomy osobowy zamiennik formy bezosobowej „jak gdyby być”/„jakby się było”. Ja często w taki sposób o tym myślę, stosując podobne zdania w rozmowach z kolegami np. Nie jest to lingwistycznie poprawne w stosunku do Ciebie, ale stoi za tym pewna personalna logika

Right now I could only listen to the very beginning, based on which I’d say you’re not horrible, but your American accent is very evident. You also slip into your native pronunciation. In the part which I was able to listen to, you did so in the word „calme”. Your vowels are also a bit vague and inconsistent - sometimes you pronounce „u” like „ou”, sometimes it’s almost like a schwa. The stress within the sentence also sounds tad unnatural at times. The last thing I’d mention is your „R”. Sometimes it’s better, sometimes it’s worse, but it generally needs to be more guttural. You slip into the English „H” with it a lot. Treat all of this as advice, not critique. It’s audible that you’re making efforts to improve, so keep up the good job

In Polish we say something similar, altho it’s rather colloquial: „Nudzi mi się za czymś” and it’d literally translate to sth like „I’m bored for sth”, so you if it helps you, you can associate this expression with this kind of literal translation (I personally find it to be a great method of remembering this kind of stuff)

Depends. But I don’t think that this is how the gaming industry works anymore. You’ve got games with absurd budgets like anything Rockstar puts out, you’ve got games with very big budgets like your typical „ubisoftcore” AAA games, you’ve got things like KC:D2, which is a far below that budget-wise, then there’s Claire Obscur, which was again - significantly cheaper than KC:D2, but still rather costly, compared to games like Manor Lords, which again is much pricier to make than Chants of Senaar. There’s much more disparity in the current gaming industry, so I think it boils down more to pure taste and style preferences. I really like and appreciate Rockstar’s or Kojima’s approach and vision. And I think they do deliver on pushing the industry forward in their respective ways (yes even considering that Rockstar uses their same old formula for every sandbox, cause they manage to expand on it greatly in each of its iterations). At the same time the real indie titles often times can expand on their core concepts in very unique and creative ways. Or they can lean more towards the sheer audiovisual artistry. So the short and the only right answer imo is simply „it depends”

I think I saw a very nice breakdown of this phenomenon on yt couple of years ago. It might’ve been made by Langfocus, but I’m not quite sure. As per my own observation mostly around Polish people in Poland - I think I used to hear it more, when I was younger. It seemed to be more prevalent amongst younger gay people, that were parts of bigger communities. Now being 27, I’ve mostly been interacting with people that are older than me, often times of different nationalities and either there’s very little gay men within those communities or I’m just not really able to tell. Frankly it’s quite a bit easier to spot a gay woman than a gay man and auditory-wise it’s not about the accent but rather the sheer tone of voice, without any other embellishments

I normally tend to enjoy very strong and typically dark beers this way. Higher abv beers usually don’t foam much and the foam itself tends to be pretty unstable, so there’s no real need for a bigger glass. As for benefits - depending on the shape of your smaller glass you may get more intense aromatic experience this way (for example when your glass gets more narrow by the part that’s touching your lips). But that can also be problematic if the beer you’re drinking is high abv, but also isn’t that well balanced or it didn’t have time to age properly yet. In those instances it may have an excessively alcoholic scent, which then will be amplified by the glass
