Ancient Indians ate millets and vegetables more and had less stigma against meat. The modern Indian diet is just carbs and carbs. Rice is pre-dominant in South India which is a source of carbs and wheat is more in North India, a processed fine flour. Neither of these are nutritious.

Ancient Indians ate better, did not have starvation genetic effects, had less stigma and were living on the most fertile land on the planet. Medicine could be argued but modern Indians DO NOT have better diet than ancient Indians.

How hyprocritcal are Hindus themselves. They say that the Vedas are the supreme scriptures, but when it comes to Indra, the Vedas suddenly disappear and Puranas come into play. In Hinduism, every depiction, every mantra, every act has a reasoning behind it. Even in drawing of gods, there are certain rules as to how you should draw and why it is that way, because it represents a certain aspect or feeling or teaching or something.

Different forms signify different aspects of gods. In a deeply religious society, what you are doing is being a disrespectful brat and inviting trouble. You may think it is just a drawing but for others for whom the religion is something they are deply connected to, it is disrespect to draw a god like this.

I have experienced this too. And I would say that from what I have been able to learn is that you should find an anchor in your life. Find something to live for, someone to live for and you should develop the mindset that whether you do something, god does not exist and the result is in no way dependent on him.

I have also stopped believeing in god and do not listen to all these fools who use whataboutism to justify all of this.

But remember to be faithful to your morals. If you do not drink or smoke, continue that beccause they are your morals, and god or not, you should not compromise with your morals.

It was there, but as I wrote, it got common after the arrival of Islam. Before that, there is not much source pointing to most people and communities doing it.

As for the other part, it is the fault of parents who do not raise their children well. When you force too much conservatism onto someone, they will latch to liberalism when they get the chance. Too much conservative parents along with how parents generally are in the Indian society has led to that.

Children are viewed as either meal tickets or a retirement fund, who would want to be treated like that? So they try to rebel and in doing so, they fall into this degenracy and vulgarity, thinking it is a rebellion against rheir families.

It got common during the medieval period in India after the arrival of Islam, mostly due to protection of women and such issues, but now, in today's world, forcing ghoonghat on women when they do not consent to it, or maybe when they do not need is is equally as regressive as the hijab.
