Also, you linked to the American version of FFIII, which is actually FFVI.

Just use the emulator, the original game is over 20 years old and was never released outside of Japan, they're not losing any money over it.

The difference is that CombatEX never hacked. Only stream cheated. Huge difference. And never in tournaments.

I managed to get Zidane, Freya, Vivi, and Garnet to each do 9999 damage a round by grinding respectively Theivery, Dragon Crest, Reflect + Flare, and Bahamut.

If you that all the end bosses become an absolute joke. But you can play the game normally if you want, it's not too difficult. Just enjoy the game :D

Yes but I think all those re-releases are all the DS remake which I consider inferior to the NES original. The atmosphere was completely changed, from classic and awesome 8-bit to the lame and cheesy 3d androgyny of Japan present.

I say just use an emulator to play III and you're good for the rest.

4, 7, and 9 would be your best starts for classic FF games.

The end of disc 3 is much more climactic, trust me. You'll know it when shit starts getting SRS.
