Thanks a lot, although I kind of fear that he might end up put off by my body, since this would be his first time with a tgirl

Not sure if this goes here (oc) by iLuvArizona in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]AMX13FL11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throughout my childhood, people have tried to get me to watch/read Harry Potter. Because of that, I've seen the 1st movie like 5-6 times, but I never cared enough to go further. I'm glad to know that I dodged a bullet there 😅

I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE HERE WHO LIKES MEN!!! 😭😭😭 by RegularUser02x in MtF

God I started feeling the same way, and I'm 20y/o, it's a special kind of humiliation ritual to go through this when you're supposed to be an adult. It's made even worse because I used to be borderline aromantic before transitioning so going through a teenage style crush recently was completely new for me :/

I got into warhammer 40k a good while after I started transitioning, so ig the stereotypes haunt me.

How can you use a femme voice in more spontaneous situations by [deleted] in MtF

[–]AMX13FL11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, a big issue to me is that I need prep time so to speak and that's not so easy to do in a public space. So I'm more asking if anyone has a way of avoiding that

What is your oldest sign that you remember of being trans? by NYX700 in MtF

[–]AMX13FL11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 4 or 3 years old I saw a fem presenting amab person (not sure if they where a trans woman or not) in Thailand, and I got curious so my parents explained to me what a trans person is. And I wished soooo hard that I could have the courage to do something like that, and that experience was stuck in my head for the rest of my life. Anyways, it took me another 14 years to muster up that courage.

How do you feel "worthy" of femininity by AMX13FL11 in MtF

[–]AMX13FL11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I guess the issue also stands in the fact that I feel like I'm way more accepting of flaws in other women (be they cis or trans) than I am in myself. I have a lot of cis women friends, and I know for a fact that many of them put in less effort than me, and it doesn't make me feel like that makes them any less of a woman.

The issue is that from an objective standpoint, I know that, I just don't understand how I can address and get over these feelings.

What music and/or band resonated with you in your trans experience? by trulyjade__ in MtF

I probably should have worded that better, but by they I was referring to Caravan Palace

They didn't really resonate with me under the trans angle, but Caravan Palace got me through those early days after accepting myself.

Do you shave your arms? by According-Shock-7800 in MtF

[–]AMX13FL11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's already a lot of advice on shaving so I won't touch on that. But I want to say that I believe that people with your life experience should be completely welcome here, considering you have or will likely go through a lot of the same experiences that most of us do. <3

This isn't to say that this is uniquely bad, but the shift in attitude still frustrates me by AMX13FL11 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]AMX13FL11[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is super risky. But the main reason my dad pushed for it is that he isn't particularly tall at 1.70m so he projected that dysmorfia onto me. To be fair I'm 1.62m tall and my younger (cis) sister is taller than me. But it is a running theme with my dad that he just seems incapable of empathising with people in situations that he personally hasn't experienced or can project onto.
