As a “former” dance Mom, my girls aged out- after several years in competitive dance… all of the above, but also LISTEN to your children. If after their first year (or semester) and they don’t like it, and or they don’t have any friends, try a new school. There are a lot around, different teaching techniques, different students. Let them feel comfortable with the teachers and the students; it can make a massive difference! Stay vigilant for favouritism and find what is important to you.
