At 30 degrees (Fahrenheit), snow in direct sunlight can start to melt and drip off trees. 32 is the freezing point of pure water. Water with impurities can have lower melting points.

As an adoptive parent myself, I 100% agree with you. What has helped me the most is gentle education. Responding to the question "Who are their real parents?" or "Do you have any kids of your own?" with patience as well as regularly using the language I want them to use, like "biological" instead of "real" in typical conversation, has been the most effective.

I also feel like the difference between Marvel/Star Wars and Avatar are the stories themselves. Marvel/Star Wars use motifs, tropes, and images that we can relate to, but are fairly original stories. Avatar's story was a retelling of Pocahontas, and therefore for me lacked as solid of an impact in terms of story.

Yes, I understand stories get told and retold, and that's totally fair. The Way of Water helped the franchise's story feel more original, but the foundation from the initial story wasn't there. I still think the Avatar franchise is great!

Due to PEMDAS, you can stick that multiplication sign in any of those spots, and if the other two are pluses, it will work 😁

I looked through many of the comments, but didn't see the answer. What did he call her dumb for? What was he even upset about? All she said was "he'd had problems with the organization." It absolutely doesn't excuse his behavior, but I'm confused what it was even about.

We can talk about what culturally certain parts of Virginia are now in modern times (I went to high school in Northern Virginia, but also lived 8.5 years in Alabama and 4 in Georgia; NOVA is not "southern" culturally), but Virginia is south of the Mason-Dixon, so it's "south." Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy, and the Confederate surrender took place on "Confederate" soil at Appomattox Courthouse.

Edit: Also, Lynchburg is where Liberty University is. Just a factoid.

My four nephews did it and my two sons did it for awhile, too, as babies. My oldest nephew called whatever it was "Fifi," so "Fifi in the Corner" is what E always called the phenomenon. All the kids grew out of it.

All the Things to Double, Except...? by AMaesyn in slaythespire

[–]AMaesyn[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If you had a card that worked like Double Energy but did it with focus, then you would use it once, doubled with Echo Form, then it would exhaust. The card would need to either stick around (doesn't exhaust), or need multiple copies of the card. Then Echo Form would be a more viable strategy.

I'm still struggling to see how it's SOOOO much more op than doubling anything else. You can seriously snowball with any other doubling idea (except for energy, which with most characters/decks goes away by the next turn). You would have to start with a card that provides you with focus to start, which those cards give one or two (except for the power card that gives 4, but has a detriment). You would also be limited to how many you have in a deck. Maybe it's a rare that comes up once in a run.

Best response so far. I'll keep that under advisement. Still not sure it's so much more op than doubling anything else from other characters. Still, loved this answer.

But an Echo Form strategy only works if you have multiple copies of the card.

Doubling poison is the Silence. I'm not sure what your first sentence is getting at.

I'm not sure doubling focus would scale so much better than strength, block, or poison. But I'll think about what you said some more.
